Brooks Beast 23s, my go-to work shoe.

I work in these shoes 5 days a week, I put in on average 10,000 steps a day and I'm on the larger side for a man, which leads to me wearing out shoes quicker than most. Ive had them for about 4 months and they're beginning to be pretty worn but thats after rougly 450 miles of walking and lots of standing time from a 265lb man.For running they're apparently a bit weighty of a shoe and better for heavier runners, but that also lends to them lasting longer and being more stable where shoes like Hokas or Asics can be a lot squishier and tend to wear out quicker. These are firm for a running shoe but still very well cushioned and comfortable...I have fussy feet from a Football injury, years of kicking in martial arts (broken toes etc), being a size US 13 with a foot that's between a normal width and slightly wide. Brooks Beasts are comfortable and very popular for hospital workers on their feet for extended shifts. The appearance is pretty basic, but Brooks Beast 23 I'd highly recommend for walking shoes, for heavier runners and for work if it requires being on your feet for long durations. It also has a medium to slightly wider foot friendly feel, Brooks tend to fit similar to Nes Balance for me.

GREAT pair of shoes!

I don't know about you, but I hate buying shoes online, only to get them and find out they don't fit. I have edema in my feet at times, and most shoes do not fit me. I purchased these shoes on try before you buy and was pleasantly surprised at the stretchability of the upper material, excellent support and overall comfort of these shoes. I had worn brooks beasts when I was a young man, and always loved them. These are perfect for me in my latter years. They are pricier than some but well worth the price, an excellent value !

Never disappoints

When it comes to finding a daily walking shoes that I might also use for jogging, taking into account that I do need and prefer the most supportive shoes, Brooks usually won’t disappoint with their selections.Very well made, light with okay arch support though I do use my own insole as I prefer more of it.Either way extremely shock absorbing providing a very comfortable experience regardless of terrain.

Good shoe, but seems to run smaller

I used the Brooks Adrenaline 22 GTS last year for running and they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve had. I wear a 9 4E and the Beast runs smaller/narrower. My toes touch the end of the Beast, but not horribly. I think it’s because of all the padding, so I’m hoping that it won’t be as noticeable after they break in. I’ve taken the Beast out on a few runs and have 24 miles on them now. The last run I went on felt better than the first. The first run I took these on left my Achilles upset for a week. I’m assuming it’s due to the thick padding and how it holds the heel. It’s pretty round and cups the heel. I think that after the padding softens and breaks in that there won’t be any problems. The build quality seems pretty good and what I would expect from Brooks, I’m hoping that these shoes last a long time. My Adrenaline’s have over 500 miles on them, so these shoes have high expectations. I took a star off because of the fit, otherwise I would give them 5 stars.

Better than I hoped for

My favorite sneakers. They don't hurt my feet. Expensive despite what some may say. But if you need quality footgear look no further.
