Fit the Same as the Brooks Cascadia

Fabulous, comfortable trail shoe. However, be aware there isn't enough room in the toe area for use with heavyweight Darn Tough trail socks, or with two pairs of socks, or with a vapor-barrier liner over a pair of socks. I was out today in 25-degree weather and my toes started to freeze so I switched to heavyweight socks and it was unbearably tight in the toe area. They are perfect with mid-weight Darn Toughs tho. Good arch support and somewhat spongy ride - noticeably more cushioning than the Brooks Cascadia with less stability and ground feel. Excellent sticky tread. Excellent quality, fit and finish.

Comfort and Style

These are incredibly comfortable shoes. And the London-fog/Coconut/Almond colorway makes for an attractive shoe for a business casual work environment. This is my third pair of Brooks Caldera. The 8 model line seems to be a little roomier than the 6 and 5 models I own, but not so much that it is an issue for me. Compared to the Ghost Max model, the Caldera is notably wider, which is good as the Ghost Max is a little narrow for my foot. These are extremely “cushy”, not a good fit for someone looking for a firm footbed (try the Cascadia instead). I wore my Caldera 6 for several miles of hiking over sand and rock in Moab and they were awesome. Plenty of support. Brooks in general are quality shoes, I think Caldera is one of Brook’s best models.

Walkable, comfortable, and waterproof.

So far, I wore them once outside, but they keep your feet dry and they seem to glide well with my feet. They were very comfortable and I walked about 2 miles. I do feel a heavier traction to the ground, which is good for here where it's wet in Seattle. They are very comfortable. I got a 9 1/2 and they fit very well. The color is the same as this picture.

Great walking shoe.

Great all round shoe for many different types of walking terrain. Great comfort, and support. Great value for the money, good support for pain. This shoe is a little on the bulky side, if that works for you.

Great for hiking

I love the fit of the Brooks Caldera 8. Good stability and comfort. I’m a hiker and not a runner so they fit my needs perfectly.
