Another winner from Brooks

This is a surprisingly good trail running shoe and a great value. It's a little heavier and a little more spartan than the Catamounts I have, but it is very reliable and gets the job done. Padding is adequate, the lugs are just right for lightly technical trails with roots and such, but probably not enough for deep mud. Outsole grip is as good as on any of my other trail shoes. The upper is comfortable and the lacing system is reliable. I love the loop where I can tuck the laces so they don't snag on any trail debris. All in all, this is a very nice shoe and a good value for the light to medium trail runner.

Best long hour shoe

I am 6'3" 300lbs. I work on my feet 8 to 10 hours a day on concrete. These shoes are a game changer. So cushioned and comfortable all day. Great work shoes. Priced right and great support.

great trail shoe

I've worn issues for several months and I use them at least five times a week. I almost exclusively use them on single track trails. I love the lightweight. Phil, that still gives me traction confidence. I am planning on getting another pair.I have bone spurs in both of my heels so I do have custom inserts but the heel backs on these are extremely comfortable. better than my Keen low boots.for longer hikes. I will be still taking my boots but I have taken these on shorter hikes in the Sierras with no hesitation or issues.

Exceptional Comofort and fit, but wore out fast

Exceptional comfort and fit. Probably the most comfortable pair of Brooks I've owned - and I've owned plenty. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the sole wore out very quickly - in about 3 months. Other than that it's 5 stars.

Great running shoe

I got these for my son during cross county season. They sometimes run on trails in the woods, and he hasn’t complained about soreness or injuries.

Not very comfortable

I decided to try Brooks after all the glowing reviews. This shoe is fashionable and durable. However, it doesn't seem to be constructed with comfort in mind which is odd seeing how it's purpose is for running through the woods. The soles are stiff as a board with no cushion or flex and the heel and ankle lining is rather abrasive on the skin even through heavy running socks. I wore them twice and went back to my 4 year old Skechers that I was trying to retire. I wanted to return these but got distracted by life and forgot. This is the first and probably last pair of Brooks I'll ever own.
