Amazing Shoes! But photo used in listing is not accurate (the actual shoes look BETTER)!

I walk about 5+ miles a day for exercise, and I go through shoes pretty quickly. I also like bright colors for my shoes -- the brighter, the better. I recently got my first pair of Brooks (the standard Hyperion version). I was honestly shocked at how good they were. With virtually all my other shoes, I end up rubbing through the back of the heel (where my Achilles tendon touches the inside back of the shoe). This type of wear is usually fatal for my other shoes, including Adidas and Nike. Once the fabric on the back of the shoe is worn through, I start to get blisters on my heel, which results in shoes going into the trash. And I am talking about 10+ pairs of shoes wearing out the same way (again, this is referring to my old pairs of Adidas and Nikes). When I got my first pair of Brooks, I found them extremely comfortable, and also the fabric on the inside of the heel is very different from what Nike/Adidas uses. After months of use, I found the Brooks shoes were barely worn in the back heel area, whereas shoes from other brands would be nearly destroyed by then. This brings me to the point of this review -- while I already had two identical pairs of the Brooks Hyperion model shoes, I randomly found this slightly different model called the Hyperion GTS. Based on the photos shown on Amazon, the GTS looked very similar to the non-GTS version, the only real difference was the "guardrails" running down the rear sides of the shoe. This didn't look like a huge thing, so I decided to try a pair (because they were on sale, whereas the normal Hyperion version was not).BUT, when I got the shoes I was very surprised -- because the color looked nothing like the photo used on Amazon. The Amazon listing photo showed a shoe with some green, but the upper looked like it was mostly white. Again, I prefer MORE color, not less, but I figured I would give them a try.Much to my surprise, the shoe that arrived was basically identical in color to the normal, non-GTS Hyperion. The photos I am attaching to this review show my old non-GTS Hyperions next to the new GTS version. As you can see, the GTS does have black stripes near the heel which are not present on the non-GTS version. But otherwise, the color and design is basically identical. Also, one other thing - I have pretty wide feet, and this listing for the GTS version said they were a little more narrow. I have not found that to be accurate. Both the GTS and non-GTS shoes seem pretty much identical, and my wide feet are supe-comfy in both. You CAN feel a very minor difference in the GTS version when you try to lean your foot side to side....the "guardrails" seem to provide a very, very small bit of extra lateral support (which is GOOD). But otherwise, the GTS and non-GTS shoes are virtually identical in terms of feel.TL;DR The photo used for the listing of this shoe is not accurate - the upper looks nearly white, whereas the actual shoe is a very bright and solid green (which I PREFER). Otherwise, this is a GREAT shoe at a GREAT price.

Color

The color in the photo does not match the shoe. The color is lighter and fades to the darker color on line. I needed the shoes so I've worn them once, love the shoe, disappointed in the color represented. Not the color I was expecting.......

Comfortable and lightweight

I frequently walk 3 miles at a time and have been very happy with these shoes having walked about 30 miles on concrete in them. They provide good support, are lightweight, great fit and easily go on and off.

Marathon Trainers

These shoes are a lifesaver for my marathon training! With bad plantar fasciitis, I need strong arch support, and these deliver without slowing me down. They keep my feet stable and comfortable on long runs, and I can still hit my speed sessions with ease. No more morning pain after training—highly recommend for runners with flat feet!
