Reliable Comfort and Sleek Style – My Go-To Running Shoes

The Brooks Ghost 13 in gray and black has become my favorite pair of running shoes. The cushioning is incredibly soft, thanks to the DNA LOFT midsole that extends from heel to forefoot, providing smooth transitions and a comfortable ride . The engineered mesh upper offers breathability and a snug fit, keeping my feet cool and secure during runs. I appreciate the neutral support and the 12mm drop, which suits my running style well . The gray and black color scheme is sleek and versatile, matching well with my workout gear. Overall, the Ghost 13 delivers consistent performance and comfort, making it a reliable choice for daily runs.

Heavy but very well cushioned and long lasting - Highly recommended.

This is my second pair of the Brook's Levitate Mk 1 shoe. I bought the first pair in a brick and mortar store but when the time came to replace them I bought them from Amazon.I bought the Brooks Levitate on the basis that they are heavily cushioned. They are very, very cushioned and it is like floating on air. The cushioning effect wears down gradually and so you may not notice the initial loss of performance. As a consequence of the cushioning these are heavier than I'm used to (Mizuno Wave Rider) but I was able to adapt to the weight easily. The shoes are well made and had a good lifespan. I was very happy with their performance.Since I use proper orthotics my initial pair was half a size larger than I would normally buy. For this second pair I went back to my normal size and the orthotics make them slightly smaller than I would like. They still fit properly but I prefer a bit more room.I could have bought Levitate IIs but why would I when I liked the Mk 1s and the older shoe is available in the right size for almost one third of the price. In fact I may well buy another couple of pairs for stock whilst they are available at the lower price. Yes, I like them that much.

Love these shoes!!!!

I’ve been walking long distances 4+ miles in the evenings and had worn out my previous brooks several months ago and decided to buy and try out new balance sneakers, well that wasn’t a great idea and a waste of money. I had sore toes and back pain by the time I got halfway through my walk. They were clunky, stiff and heavy. I went and ordered these Brooks and tried them out last Friday after work and ended up power walking over 6 miles!!! NO PAIN!!!! These are so comfortable and I will never purchase anything but Brooks from now on.

I Wouldn't Call This A Support Shoe

This model of Brooks shoe is beautiful and offers so many colors from which to chose, but the quality just isn't there. I took one look at them out of the box and decided to return them. The material is just flimsy. They don't appear to be much different than the pair of Brooks Ghost shoes that I bought a few years ago. The softness and cushioning are there, but the material at the toe box is loose and thin; and the sides of the shoe don't have much for reinforcement that would indicate to me that they are supportive in any way. My very first impression is that my big toe would bust through the material in a few months and the material would tear at the side from the sole in under six months. I bought my mom some Brooks Glycerin shoes, which appear to be superior to these. They offered better support and cushioning. We also have Asics Kayano-Gel 27 shoes, which ended up being a better buy, with regard to the quality of materials and support. These shoes would be great for comfort and walking, but I wouldn't run in in them if I had stability issues and I wouldn't count on them to last.I thought I would update my experience with these shoes. Every shoe guru out there keeps recommending these for my particular foot shape and stride, so I tried a different pair of Brooks Adrenaline shoes and gave them a few days of wearing. For some reason, Amazon won't let me leave more than one review for each shoe purchase, so I will add my experience here. I cannot even wear these shoes for half a day, because they make my feet tired. I think the cushioning is too mushy and it makes walking in them fatiguing. No amount of adjusting the laces improves this. I tried to tighten the shoe down with the laces to get a better response to movement, but it just made the cushioning put a sort of back pressure on my feet. They are just uncomfortable after a few hours. All the shoe gurus say that this is the shoe for me. I'm supposed to want a lot of cushioning and a little support, because I tend to supinate, but these shoes are not very responsive to movement. Even the top materials are soft and mushy. I just find them so fatiguing. I have had a few pairs of Brooks Ghost shoes and they work much better for me. I love my new Ghost 14 GTX shoes, but they are a much firmer. The cushioning is their, but it is stiffer. Both the sole and the materials are more firm and more responsive to movement. I find that they offer better support, although that is not what Brooks claims.

the comfort of the traditional heavier Brooks but way lighter.

I bought these because a friend had purchased a pair. They look great (not as clunky as the walking version I have been wearing for many years). I started Brooks on the recommendation of my walking coach when I was training to walk a marathon. I have stayed with the brand. Make sure you know whether you need a neutral platform or another. You can find this out by visiting a running store that has well trained people or going to a podiatrist. It is important to have the right one. This is a neutral platform. I love the weight, the looks, the support and total comfort for any distance of walking.

Always right

I average 7 miles of walking, a day in all seasons, through my hilly neighborhood. I consistently buy the Brooks Revel 4s approximately every three months. I select the styles/color based on my size (10) and price. I spend under $90. No matter the style or color, the shoes fit the same each time...quality made with great support, takes the wear and tear of salty roads in the winter/fall months and asphalt heat in the summer/spring. I like that I have options for color, but the consistent fit matters MUCH more to me!
