I was running.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐So, I recently laced up the Brooks Men’s Trace 2 Neutral Running Shoes for my long-distance runs, and let me tell you, these kicks have transformed my jogging routine into an epic quest of comfort and performance. I’m now convinced that these shoes are not just for running—they’re for conquering the world, one mile at a time. When the shoes arrived, I felt like I’d just received a pair of VIP passes to the exclusive club of elite runners. The moment I slipped them on, it was as if my feet were being hugged by a team of supportive, enthusiastic cheerleaders. I’d expected a good fit, but this was next-level. It was like walking on clouds made from marshmallows, but without the sticky mess.My first run in these beauties was nothing short of revolutionary. With each step, it felt like I was gliding over the pavement—no, scratch that, it felt like I was floating on a magic carpet, gently nudged along by the shoe’s incredible cushioning. I started to imagine myself as a superhero in a movie montage, effortlessly gliding through training montages while inspirational music played in the background. The Trace 2’s neutral support is so well-engineered that I began to question if my feet were secretly being guided by a team of elite biomechanists. I experienced zero discomfort, which is a miracle considering I usually run like a herd of elephants in a tutu. It’s like these shoes were custom-designed to counteract every awkward misstep and clumsy stumble I’ve ever made. And the best part? I’ve started referring to my runs as “epic adventures” rather than “painful endurance tests.” My shoes are now the trusty sidekick in my running saga, always ready to provide comfort and support as I charge through my daily 5K like a caffeinated gazelle. I even catch myself showing off my running form, complete with a dramatic slow-motion finish, just to revel in the glorious support of these shoes. On the flip side, the only downside is that my old running shoes are now feeling pretty neglected. They’re gathering dust in the corner, and I think they might be staging a protest against being replaced by such superior footwear. I’ve caught them eyeing the Brooks Trace 2s with a mix of envy and resignation. In conclusion, if you’re looking for running shoes that will turn your long-distance runs into an ultra-comfortable adventure and make you feel like a champion every time you lace them up, the Brooks Men’s Trace 2 Neutral Running Shoes are your answer. They’re the kind of shoes that make you wonder why you ever ran without them, and they’ll have you treating every run like a personal victory lap. Just be prepared for the possibility of a newfound obsession with running—and a lot of admiring glances from jealous old sneakers.

Great walking shoes

These are very nice walking shoes with good traction, good cushioning and good ankle and arch support. I usually have felt I needed to purchase narrow width shoes (13B) but I was pleasantly surprised that these regular width size 13 shoes fit me well. I find these to be very comfortable when I walk up to two miles even on slightly irregular ground. I think the mesh construction helps them to fit a range of foot widths. I appreciate that they are offered in a range of bright colors and I feel they are a good value for the price of just above $60 when I purchased them.

Great running shoe

I bought these for my son who is in basic training in the military. He told me he needed a GOOD, quality running/training shoe. For this, they can be any color, so I picked these out myself, miles away from my son. He didn’t get to try these on I had to take my chances. We got the shoes on time and I immediately mailed them off to his base. He let me know they were PERFECT. Fit him perfectly. TRUE TO SIZE!! They lock in around your ankle and he has had rolled ankles before. He said they have helped him so much and they are the most comfortable, lightweight shoes he has had, and my son is a “shoe guy” he has so many shoes and is into collecting and selling and all those things. He would know the worth of these shoes compared to aisics, new balance, Nike and adidas and under armor. To me this was a wonderful, perfect purchase!!

Good mix of fashion, function, budget

Looks great. Clean, appropriate for casual outfits, running, or the gym.I bought this shoe after wearing 4 different pairs of Brooks Ghosts after the last few years. Those have more cushion and feel sturdier than the Trace, but they also have a price point that reflects additional comfort features. This shoe is currently in rotation for me for running and strength training. It is not designed to be a weightlifting shoe, but I find it comfortable for all gym activities except squats... because it's a running shoe, so it isn't supposed to work for squats.I've only put about 20 miles on the shoes as far as running is concerned in the 10ish days I've had them. Those first miles are usually the toughest on my feet, but I've noticed no blistering or discomfort in any way. They do seem a little more narrow than the Brooks Ghosts I'm used to, but there is plenty of room in the toe box and I am considering buying these in a second color.
