Get the right size, then walk, run or lift!

It's difficult to find athletic shoes in Wide that fit the forefoot but don't slip on heels. Brooks Womens Addiction 14 in 8 Wide offer great support with snug heel and comfortable large/high toe box. These are comfortable all day; working/walking/jogging on pavement, walking on treadmill, exercising in the gym. This particular style is stable and firm in feel, but nicely cushioned. Excellent shoes from Brooks.

Very comfortable

These are the most comfortable shoes Iv'e ever worn. I wear 7 EE and the & 7 X-wide fit perfect. I have always had a difficult time finding shoes that fit, between my high arch and wide width in my toe box area, I have had to settle with quite a lot of not so perfectly fitting sneakers. I was also skeptical of the cloth on the top of the shoe as I have purchased other similar ones in the New Balance brand and after a couple of months a hole would wear through in the area of my big toe, very frustrating considering the price of running shoes. Iv'e had this pair since the end of November and they are in great condition. I'm a mail carrier for usps and on my feet all day and put quite a bit of mileage on them delivering packages. I Liked them so much that after making sure they were comfortable and would hold up well 3 months later I ordered two more pairs, as for some reason all the brands keep changing up the styles of there shoes even though their customers love them, go figure...

Please read review if you need help!!

Ok. Thank you to amazon for letting me try and return about 5 pairs of running shoes bc I couldn’t find the right fit. I HAVE FOUND MY NEW FAVORITE RUNNING SHOE!!!! I wear 8 wide and ordered 8.5 bc they are knit material and will stretch out. These fit perfect!!!! I love the knit material seem to stretch but not to much stretch. In the material they added padding that are nice so your feet do not move around. Past reviews I saw were the heel gave blisters. If you put some kt tape on your heel till they break in, you won’t blister. I had surgery on my foot 2 years ago and still have issues, so the right shoe is hard for me to find. The cushion is just right and the 8mm drop is perfect. So when I tell you these are good shoes, i truly mean that they are good shoes!!! And as I was on my first run today I got stopped by someone that complimented how cute they were!!! So thank you amazon for patiently letting me try and return shoes until I found the right one. And thank you to the store for a great price $109. Super fast delivery and even delivered on a holiday! I am so happy and very pleased with the shoes!!! Buy them...you won’t be disappointed!! I hope this helped others. Happy running!!!

Good running shoe - but different from the first Ricochet

Some basic info to start off with:- I put in an average of 70+ miles of road running in my shoes each month- I generally wear a "neutral" road runner- My feet tend to fit best in a shoe with a narrow[ish] toe box- I'm 5ft 4in and around 160lbs- other similar shoes I've run in over the past year include Brooks Launch 5 (I've had at least 6 pairs of Launches over the years), Brooks Revel (wide toe box), Hoka Cavu (did not work for me), and the Ricochet first edition (LOVED)Now for the actual review:The Brooks Ricochet is a pretty great running shoe for those who need a neutral road running shoe, with a somewhat narrower toe box. There's just enough cush when your foot strikes the pavement, the heal/ankle is more comfortable than any other shoes I've tried as it has memory foam that cushions where you might ordinarily get some discomfort from heal rub. I've probably put 150 miles in my Ricochet 1 and they've held up really well (don't worry, I'm not retiring them yet) but I've only put about 20 miles in this shoe (Ricochet 2) - they're also holding up really well. The Ricochet 2 is also a very attractive shoe - I'd venture to say the best looking running shoe I've had in the past 4 years (and that's a lot of shoes. ;) )With all that said, if you've tried the previous Ricochet and want to upgrade, here are some things you should note:- unlike the previous Ricochet this shoe has no tongue - it slips on like a sock. For me, this has caused some pinching when I lace up my shoes which can be uncomfortable if I'm not careful- there's less ankle support than the previous model. The cut around the ankle on this shoe seems to be a bit lower so I don't feel like I'm getting the same support as I did with my last pair of Ricochets.- the shoe seems to be a bit narrower than the last. For me this is okay because I have a relatively narrow foot, but it definitely feels more snug which may be bothersome to othersOverall, I love the Ricochet shoes but feel that the newest version had some changes that made the fit a bit less comfortable than the last. That said, I much prefer the Ricochet to other Brooks shoes I've tried and will continue running in these.

Very Comfortable Shoes!

These shoes are fantastic. I usually don’t spend the money on a good pair of shoes, and these are totally worth it. I broke my ankle a year and a half ago and it still bothers me. I’m usually limping around or having sharp pains. I also have horrible chronic back pain. I work 12 hour shifts on my feet despite all this. Today, day 1 of wearing these shoes, has been amazing. I’m not limping, my ankle isn’t hurting, my back isn’t as sore as it usually is by this time, my feet are comfortable. I Love these shoes. I think I have officially converted. Now time to see how long they last!

I love Brooks!

I have been a Brooks shoe fan for almost 20 years. They are the only running shoe I wear. I have knee injuries from high school track and ankle issues from complications with pregnancy -- these are the only brand shoes I can run in at all. The Addiction 14's are lightweight yet cushioned, wonderful arch support, a wide toe box - but narrow enough every where else that they don't slip/slid/move when running. They also come in a variety of colors so they can be functional and fashionable. In essences - the perfect shoe.
