Love love love

Where do I begin? I first purchased Brooks shoes three or four years ago on recommendation from a running shoe company that examined your gait. I was 90 pounds overweight and had (still have) robust bunions. It was imperative to find a shoe that wouldn't pinch those bunions. Brooks Ghost (running) and Caldera (trail) have construction that won't squeeze that part of your foot. Insoles are extremely comfortable, even with all my extra weight. I have continued to purchase Brooks shoes ever since. I was thrilled to find these Caldera for about 1/3 regular cost. And now, 90 pounds lighter, they are even dreamier as far as comfort. I purchased this pair for an upcoming trip where I'll be doing a lot of walking. Just broke them in yesterday. I have zero concerns about wearing these all day every day on that trip. Fantastic shoes, bargain price! (I still wear my first pair of Caldera -- the uppers are still in great shape, I just wore out the tread in about a year of regular wear, so super durable!)

Like running on a bed of marshmallows

I’ve worn these now a couple of times. The first time I had planned a trail run but ended up at the gym. I do NOT recommend wearing them to the gym, indoors, and especially not on an elliptical. They were very comfortable, but the traction was really obvious & felt weird. This evening I went for a short 1.4 mile hike with intervals of trail running. They were AMAZING! It was like running on a bed of firm marshmallows. Perfectly cushioned. If I were in better shape, or the hills weren’t so steep, I could have gone much further with zero fatigue in my legs and feet.I drew the short end of the stick when it comes to my feet. My arches are flat & what there is collapse when I merely stand. My ankles pronate & I have a history of many severe sprains. Last year I broke my left ankle, requiring 2 surgeries. Brooks shoes are the only brand that keep my feet and ankles stable. I’ve been wearing them almost exclusively (a girl has to have some heels, sandals, and boots) for about 15 years. Walking shoes, cross trainers, running shoes… So far, the Caldera 5 have been the best yet!

So comfortable and supportive

I *love* these shoes! I have been a Nike wearer forever, but wanted to try something different and I think I might be a convert. Like Nike, I imagine these Brooks probably work best for people with feet on the narrow side (or at least not wide). Thick cushioned sole is higher than I'm accustomed to but I've had no issues with that at all. I use Superfeet insoles and those do push your foot higher in the shoe, so the vamp/tongue area is a little tighter against the foot than it would otherwise be, but not problematically or uncomfortably.

Cushy Shoe

These are the most cushy shoe I've ever purchased from Brooks brand. Fit is great with plenty of room in the toe box. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the upper tongue on one shoe being so stiff the first time I wore them it rubbed a red place on the front of my ankle. With the right socks hopefully that will go away. Working in the medical field on my feet for 12 hour sometimes 15 hr days these are getting it done. Considering ordering another pair. Sellar shipped with Amazon prime and was right on time. All around would recommend this product to anyone with sore feet. This is coming from someone with plantar fasciitis.

We will see.

I love the look of these shoes, but they feel like they add height to you. I mostly mix between a walk and job and I love these. However, My old Brooks had harder rubber to support flat feet. This shoe doesn't feel like it has that. I do like how it feels like it has a little spring to it. One con so far is it feels like I could have sized up half a size. I usually wear size 10 in brooks and these felt a little snug. I will post updates as I continue to use these shoes. I only use them in my workout room, so keep that in mind when I do my update.

So comfy right out of the box

I love Brooks and wanted a "hiking sneaker" since my Brook Ghosts were just a little slippy at times. These are the best, so comfortable and with great grip, I wear them walking even on pavement/concrete. I have a wide foot, high arch, and narrow heel and this shoe fits very well. Definite 2 thumbs up!
