This were nice, I didn’t like the additional strap across the arch of the foot, make it too tight, after I cut that off it was much more breathable and comfortable.

I’ve been trail running for years, and the Brooks Cascadia 17 might be my favorite version yet. The cushioning is just right—soft enough to protect my feet on rocky trails but firm enough for a responsive feel. The updated outsole grips really well, even on loose gravel and muddy patches, and I feel confident on steep descents. The fit is true to size with a secure heel and roomy toe box, and the upper is breathable without sacrificing durability. I’ve taken these on 10+ mile runs and my feet felt supported the entire time.If you’re looking for a trail runner that can handle a variety of terrain while keeping your feet happy, the Cascadia 17 is a solid choice.
True to size. Roomy toe area. Comfortable.
Nice looking shoe and very durable. It holds up well if exposed to moisture. Grips well on different types of rock surfaces. Size was accurate. The arch support seem to be the only concern. My husband also bought the same pair with the same issue with the right shoe. The outer side portion of the foot, just below pinky toe and under the foot in the same area. After long hikes, the bottom of my right foot and side of my pinky toe has discomfort. I have to adjust how tightly I tie the shoe. I've tried to add sole support which helped some. Not a similar issue with my other various shoes.
Brooks are by far my favorite brand of sneakers. I have bad feet and these are the most comfortable sneakers I own. I also love the colors.
I tested these in snowy weather and my feet stayed completely dry and warm. The Gore-Tex really works. The grip is excellent on snow and slush, and the shoe feels stable even on slippery patches. It’s firmer than my Hoka Bondi 9, but that firmness actually adds stability in winter conditions. Highly recommend for cold, wet, or snowy runs.
I just got these today, and was expecting them to feel like my Brooks Ghost running shoes, which I’ve been buying for years. (The Ghosts have made my feet smile from the first time I tried them on, and every day since.) I ordered a whole size up from my normal size, as I do with Ghosts, which I find more comfortable. These Cascadia trail shoes are a little snug and stiff right out of the box, because of the stiff GoreTex coating and waterproof stitching around the tongue, and I contemplated returning them if they didn’t feel better after wearing them for a few minutes. But after some adjusting, and wearing them around the house for an hour, they felt great, and I was excited to try them on my regular nearby trails.I took them for a test run and they were wonderful! They handled the rocky, muddy, hilly trails & creeks near my house beautifully, keeping my feet comfy and dry. I highly recommend!!!
