Cute and comfortable
These are very comfortable, and stay on well due to the elastic strap across the top. The strap itself is not attached to the top edge of the shoe…it’s actually secured on either side of the footbed, which keeps the shoe held to you foot better, and allows the sides of the shoe to flex as you walk without making the elastic rub on your foot. Clever design! They are also super cute, love the velvet for fall/winter. First purchased a 7.5 in another style of flat from C. Paravano but it was huge so sent that back and got two other styles (including this one) in a size 7. That was apparently the right size for me. I usually wear 7.5-8.5 in casual shoes and sneakers. Often I’m a tad smaller in flats because otherwise they slip off of my heels. So you may want to consider a half size down in these if you’re similar.

Beautiful shoe, but be careful with the sizing
I was genuinely excited to receive these velvet flats because I thought the blue would be perfect for the holiday season, and the color really is as stunning as the photos. The velvet is soft, the leather lining feels luxurious, and the overall craftsmanship is exactly what I have come to expect from this brand. I own close to ten pairs of C. Paravano shoes and the quality has always justified the price, which is currently around $128 depending on the color.Where this pair missed the mark is the sizing. Every other pair I own in a US size 10 is marked as a European 41, and they all fit me perfectly. This pair is labeled as a 40.5, even though it is also listed as a size 10. That half size makes a noticeable difference. I tried them on with the included heel pad, and even my smaller foot felt tight. Because of the sizing inconsistency, I cannot fairly comment on long-term comfort or wear because I cannot wear them properly right out of the box.These are beautifully made shoes, and if the sizing works for you they are worth the price, but buyers should be aware that this style runs smaller than the other C. Paravano flats in the same listed size. I wish the brand were more consistent, especially because loyal customers like me learn to trust a specific size. If they had been a true 41 like the rest of my pairs, they would have been perfect, and I would have gladly given them 5 stars, but the sizing issue keeps this at 4.

Cute, Comfortable and Versatile Blue Velvet Ballet Flats
First off, I have to say I love these blue velvet ballet flats not only are they super cute, they’re also really versatile and can go with just about anything. They’re even office appropriate. Flats aren’t usually comfortable for me, because I have high arches, but I really was hopeful about these, and I lucked out because they really are comfortable. I don’t know if they will stay that way but only time will tell. A cool thing to note is that the straps are not attached to the top trim they’re actually attached underneath the sole on the inside of the shoe which means you can wear these with the strap, or you can actually leave the strap underneath and wear them as if the strap didn’t even exist. Personally, I like the strap, but I took pictures both ways to show the difference.I’m normally a size 8 1/2 and the fit of these was perfect. I had a little bit of room at the toe and they didn’t pinch, so I would recommend you get your normal size. Also, these shoes are not stiff from the moment you put them on you’re going to feel that they actually are really soft and have a good amount of give on the sides to widen if need be. So, if you happen to have wider feet these shoes will also work for you. Something that I noticed and was that the trim around the top of the shoe ends on the inside just below your ankle bone where it has a small seam, the other shoe's seam ends at the exact same spot which is a sign of attention to detail and good overall quality. It takes a lot of skill to make seams match and be symmetrical. I’m really so in love with these blue velvet ballet flats and have gotten so many compliments on them each time I’ve worn them. The color is stunning it’s so vibrant and rich that it really stands out and is eye catching. I anticipate wearing these shoes a lot and I would highly recommend them.Also, I did take pics, but they don’t do the color justice it's even more beautiful in person.
