Comfortable and soft right out of the box. Like that they offer it in W. Only used for a few rounds so far but they seem to be well made. I can't speak about waterproof because I have not played in rain. I will buy another pair because of the comfort factor alone and they do look quite nice. The laces are well made and stay tied which may seem picky but many shoes don't.
