Great
I got these as something to slip into without having to hassle with a back strap or heel, after trying various slides or thongs and having problems with walking out of them. These work better, with 2 straps across the forefoot, but I still have a bit of a problem with that.First, these are heavier than expected - probably the heaviest sandals I've run across - so that takes some getting used to, but the soles are thicker and have a nice Vibram-style tread pattern which grips well. The soles/footbeds are also quite stiff initially, but it feels like that are becoming more flexible. The straps are adjustable, unlike most slides, so that allowed me to adjust them tighter, which goes a long way toward keeping them on better. I have a narrow (B-width) foot and a high instep, so that's part of the problem.Last thing - they seem to run pretty close to true size. I ordered a 12, although I usually wear an 11 (there was no 11.5 option) because so many shoes, especially the Amazon imports, seem to run small, so as a result these are a bit large. There is a raised "cup-edge" all the way around the footbed insole, however, and it would be very uncomfortable to have that fall under your heel, so a bit large is better than a bit small. While I like these pretty well, they seem a little expensive for what they are - no doubt a result of having the Calvin Klein name attached. At around $30 - $35 they'd be a good value.
Very comfortable
The sandals arrived quickly, were well packaged, and undamaged. I ordered the Man's size 7 so that they would fit me (female) and they did so they are true to size. I wear them around my house when I am working on the porch. Looking at these shoes, they seem like they would be extremely uncomfortable but they aren't. Actually, they are more comfortable than most of my flip-flops. I even wore them in the Winter with socks. The construction is durable and the shoes are waterproof. These sandals appear to be made so well that they will probably last for years. They are slightly heavier than sandals similar to these, but not so heavy that they become cumbersome. These are nice sandals.
I was initially excited when I got these, after all, they are CK and all. They are well-made and come in a nice box. That sadly is where my love for them ended. I chose to wear these for the first time sans socks, as one normally does with sandals. Once I got some steps in (and at the grocery store no less). I noticed that with every couple of steps, the sandals would create an air seal with the bottom of my foot (I do not have very sweaty feet at all) and then would release this air pocket in a most offensively sounding fashion. I became a walking fart machine in the middle of the grocery store. It was comically loud and occurred with almost every other step. My face was red by the time I made it to the checkout line. Sadly for me, by then even shifting my weight would cause a petite squeak to whisper from my feet, akin to one trying one's best to not pass gas in a vulgar fashion. Unfortunately, I will not be wearing these anymore, at least certainly not without socks or some sort of toot prophylactic.
