Real deal

My daughter is joining dance this year and I remember from growing up that Capezio was a good dance brand. But we’re not committed enough to dance for me to spend the top dollar price tag that sometimes comes with dance classes. So I first looked at target for ballet shoes but theirs weren’t the quality I was looking for. Since I was on a time crunch, I decided to check out Amazon and found capezio ballet shoes for a killer price! These are perfect. Only thing I can warn a person of is these seem to run small. I ordered a whole size bigger than usual and those were still too small. I’m exchanging them for the second size up. We’ll see! But overall, the quality and the price point are perfect.**UPDATE** 2 sizes up were a perfect fit! And this price point is an absolute steal! These same slippers/shoes were for sale in the studio for $28!! I’d call this a win. Don’t hesitate to hit that ‘buy now’ button!

Great dance shoe

My twins wear normal shoe sizes 6.5 & 7. I sized up & bought the dance shoe in 8M, for both girls. When they arrived in the packaging, before I unfolded, they looked TINY. My husband said "No way! That's not going to fit!" However, once I unfolded them, they were GREAT! The straps keep them on the girls' feet but not too tight that they leave marks. They're actually a little large, which leaves room to grow into. The sides are a bit odd. Idk if it's b/c my girls needed size "wide" as they're a little thick for their height at this point, or if it's b/c the shoe is still a little larger size than they wear. Either way, they were bought to wear around the house, in their Christmas dresses & for dress-up. They love them & look adorable. Delivery was fast & it's a quality product overall which I'd recommend. Price was right. Side note: they have a pair of size 8M pink ballet shoes from the Payless brand, & in comparison, the Payless runs smaller than these.

Lovely, good old-fashioned ballet slippers!

So happy to see that Capezio still knows how to make ballet slippers! Available in wide widths, which fit my granddaughter perfectly, and made of soft, real leather. Also, a reasonable price! Can’t ask for anything more. We’ll be ordering more as she grows. Thank you, Capezio!

Will work, but seem wide

I bought these for my 3 year old for a tiny tots ballet class. After reading the reviews, I had no idea what size to buy, because some say buy a full size bigger, some say half size bigger, and Capezio says to start with the street shoe size. I just had my daughter's feet measured at Stride Rite less than a week before ordering these slippers. They measured her feet at a 9, so I bought her 9.5 shoes. Going with the size up recommendation, I ordered these in a 10.5. I didn't want them to be too small, and I wanted a little extra room so she could get more wear out of them. The length is fine, with a little extra room. However, the slippers seem quite wide (I ordered regular width, my daughter doesn't have narrow or wide feet). Even after tightening the strings (which did help quite a bit), there seems to be extra room. It's not enough of a problem for me to send them back; I think they'll work fine for her class. The quality does seem good, and the color was what I expected (ballet pink, not really pink). Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.

Perfect!

Perfect. My daughter is seven and this is her first year in dance. When the paperwork came out that she needed dance shoes, a certain color and appearance.. I had no idea where to look or where to go. So to Amazon I went. There happens to be alot of dance shoes and alot of comments about how good and bad they are and I was lost in a sea of "oh my god.. which shoes do I get? What size? Will they fit? Will they look weird? SEND HELP"So check it out. These shoes? They are perfect. They look perfect, they feel perfect. They are sturdy and didn't fall apart when I stared at them in that critical, parent-judgement way. They have a little string around the opening so you can tighten the shoe a bit for a better fit as well as a band to keep it in place. They feel like leather.. they LOOK better than the picture and I am so pleased that I told all the other parents where to go. These shoes are affordable and I am very, very thankful these are out here.I ordered my daughter's shoe size. It fit with a tiny bit of room to spare but the delicate cord made it so it looked like they were made for her feet.I have prime so I got them in two days. Came in a box. No damage at all.

Great Shoes

Capezio is a great brand for ballet shoes and my daughter's ballet studio sells them there but for almost double the price. They last a long time although, she only uses them once a week. She always outgrows them before they wear out. I have never had to buy her another pair of the same size. The stretchy band is perfect for contouring them to her size and you just cut off the extra string with scissors. They are comfortable and stretchy. She loves dancing in them and wants to wear them all the time but I already explained to her that they are only for class and recitals. The soles and toes do not wear out even though my daughter dances all over the place and sometimes drags her feet on the floor of the ballet class. My daughter has a slightly wide foot so I can adjust these fit to her feet perfectly.I was slightly apprehensive about ordering the ballet shoes online but I decided to stick to the same brand name that the studio sells and I have not had any issues. I know there are other unbranded shoes that are sold for much cheaper but after reading many of the negative reviews on those shoes, I did not want to risk it. I felt that spending the few extra dollars on capezio would save me money in the long run from having to buy new shoes again after only a month or so.The seller shipped them very quickly and I received them within a week, just in time for her next class!
