These are our first purchase of canvas split soled ballet flats...we always purchase leather Capezio split sole...my daughter could not be happier! I found them to be exactly true to size. She wears a size 1 in street shoe, so I ordered a 1.5 for growing (to hopefully make it to recital!) and they fit just as expected. A nice snug fit in width and with just a tough of room to grow in the toe. She loves how flexible these feel and says she loves how there is nothing fighting against her point. She says they just feel like her foot, which is exactly what you want from a good ballet shoe. We have had them for a month or two now, and they look almost brand new. I have not had to clean them yet, so I cannot speak to how well that works. The price of these is also wonderful; I will buy again and again in future sizes. One more happy Capezio purchase; they never disappoint us.

Amazing!
I love these for my serious ballet student daughter!! She loves them too! So glad I tried these. They have the split sole, which allows so much more flexibility in the foot than the ballet shoes that have a full sole in them...I guess I never understood why the studio wanted the girls to have these split sole type! And you can't beat the price! They're so much better quality and the price is about the same or less than the ballet shoes you find at Payless! Go for these! They're great! And, they do have the elastic straps that criss-cross over the top of the foot, and they are attached already, which is perfect for me since I don't sew! Lastly, they are canvas, which means you can always wash them if you need to! Love them!

The elastics are pre-sown!
They fit fine and are comfortable for ballet classes 3-6 times a week. Also, they are quite sturdy; my daughter outgrew them, rather than the slippers falling apart.
