I ordered a 7.5, which is my true-to-size shoe size, and it fit wonderfully--not too tight or too loose. These shoes are so comfy. I'm a beginning/intermediate tapper, and right out of the box, I wanted to do a few little shuffles. I wear these through intermediate/advanced tap class which is about an hour each week, and for practice from time to time, and these shoes always stay laced, don't slip, and keep my feet sturdy so I can focus on the steps and not on "is my shoe going to twist my ankle???" My 11 and 8 year old daughters both use these for their ballet classes. They are our favorite style from any brand so far. We love the cross cross elastic straps to hold the shoe in the exact spot that they should be in and not slipping to the sides. My 8 year old just transitioned to this shoe from a leather sided slipper with one strap and had no problems adjusting to the new fit.The size is much smaller than traditional shoe sizes, so be sure to measure and size down if there is a question.
