Nice comfy dance shoes
Although I know it is not appropriate, I bought this shoes for zumba class. I thought it would give me a good feel while dancing. Because regular running shoes hurt when I do zumba. The package arrived just about time. I like the quality. However, it's a bit too tight. It runs smaller than an actual shoe size. If your regular shoe size is 8 or 8 1/2 you should go up one size. 9/10 M or even Large. But if you wear it for a while, it expands. (That's why I am wearing it right now) It is flexible. You can loosen up the strings. Overall I do not regret that I bought this shoes. I can't wait to try it for zumba class.

They run really small
I looked at the reviews before purchasing and everyone said this shoe runs small. I ordered a medium because i wear a size 7-71/2 (street shoe). When the shoe arrived, the medium was extremely small. I could not get it on my foot! So I sent it back and ordered the large and it fits perfect and is very comfortable for dancing. Can easily feel the floor and maneuver well. I recommend this item.

Nice design, ridiculously small
I read the reviews for these shoes before I bought them, and most commented on the fact that they run very small and suggested going up 1 to 2 sizes, which I did. I usually wear a US 8.5 or 9 (8.5 in Puma and Chuck Taylor, and 9 in Nike and Adidas to be a little more specific) so I ordered a Large, which Capezio claim is equivalent to a 10-11. However, these shoes are still way too small for me.The elastic on the top generously accommodates the width of my feet (I have somewhat wide feet) but they are about an inch too short and squash my toes painfully.I like the design and the leather is quite soft and pliant, so I have decided not to return them and instead see what I can do to stretch them. Last night I stuffed a pair of wet tennis socks tightly into the toe area of each shoe and left them there for about 12 hours, and that actually seems to have improved it slightly. I'm now wearing them around the house and intend to do so for a while, but while they no longer cut off circulation I doubt I'll ever be able to dance in them.I like them enough to consider a repurchase in a larger size.

Great for Scottish Country Dancing
i have arthritis so I ordered my shoes larger than what you would ordinarilly dance in.They actually give support to your foot which seems strange since they are so light. The only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is that Iwear through the toes so quickly. This may be that I use them for Scottish Country dancing where you seldom dance flat footed. They look like ghillies also which is nice.

Terrible size discreancy. Too small. Capezio Box had been ripped open. Obviously a prior return.
Shipped from an outside vendor. Box previously ripped open. Size is so incredibly much smaller than my normal size 8m, that I think I looked at the actual size on the shoe 5 or 6 times.... It definitely said .8-9 M US.... ( NOT ) Fit like a size 4-5 S. I really wanted these to fit too. The return instructions are also very unfriendly... We shall see. ( Color is great. )

Way small...
As others suggested, I ordered one size up. I wear street shoe size 6 to 6.5, and got the Medium (8-9). They totally pinch/cram my toes, and were painful to wear. I had to take them off within 15 minutes. Perhaps they will stretch, but I can't dance with painful feet. The lace on top is also a bad design for dances that involve floorwork, where the top of your foot might be on the floor. I will be heading into a local dance shop where I can try on the dance shoes, and just buy what feels good, instead of trying to save a few $.

Great shoe! Sad to see it go.
I have seen many reviews complain that this shoe wears out too quickly, but I have absolutely loved it and am so sad that Capezio seems to have discontinued it. Yes, the sole does wear out faster than the sole on a traditional ballet shoe , but it looks great. Moreover while it does run small, if you can find your size they are probably the best fitting ballet/cross-discipline shoe you will ever find, and your feet will feel so stable and secure, which is critical for balance--especially if you have long toes. I personally use it for practice and for competing in the theater arts/cabaret division of ballroom dancesport. This is the 5th pair I have ordered for myself, and, unfortunately, I misread the size, so I ordered too small. I may try to make them work anyway.
