great theater/ dance shoes for the price but get 1/2 size up
***Pros: 1" heel (perfect for a teen who can't walk/ dance as well in 2" heels); great price (relative to other theater/ dance shoes and the quality is fine); comfortable. ***Cons: size runs unusually small so order up 1/2 size at least. Many reviews suggested to order up an entire size- this did not work for my daughter, she was swimming in a whole size larger shoe; 1/2 size up was the sweet spot. Buckle- very hard to get the strap through the frame. Because a lot of kids wear shoes like this for theater and dance performances, which often require quick shoe changes, the company should consider addressing this, making the buckle easier to get on and off.

Most comfortable shoe!
I purchased these shoes last year for a musical that I was in. I was a little hesitant since I've never purchased shoes online before and reading the reviews helped me to know what to expect.I have to say that I was very impressed with how comfortable these shoes were. Loved wearing them and after hours being in them, I was not in pain as I had been in previous character shoes.They fit like a glove!The other thing I really loved about these shoes was the stability of the heel as well as not sliding all over the stage. There's nothing worse than falling on stage because your shoes are too slippery!I highly recommend Capezio for anyone who wants to be confident on stage!

THIS ENDEAVOR WAS A GROSS WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT :-(
Manufacturers sizing information is lacking and must be provided to ensure customers have accurate information. I normally wear a 9.5M so I ordered the 10M. I could not get the shoe on. My toes just fit inside the toe box, that's it! I estimate I would need at least an 11.5M in this brand.

Affordable basic shoes
My two daughters needed character shoes for a performing arts tour. Rather than go to a dance studio or supply shop, I ordered 5 pairs of these for my daughters to try on. I ordered in different sizes/widths close to the needed sizes. They ran within a half size of true size for us, and we were able to find two pairs that worked within the 5 pairs I ordered. They have a good selection of the larger, harder to find size ranges and the wider widths.This is a decent, suitable, affordable basic shoe and seems to be a good value for the price range. Ordering from Amazon and taking advantage of the free return policy for the unwanted shoes saved me a 70 mile round trip to the store, and a considerable amount of money that I would have spent at a retail establishment.
