The Capezio Womens Jr. Footlight T-Strap Character Shoe is designed to elevate your performance on stage or in class. With a thoughtful design focusing on comfort and functionality, this shoe stands out among its competitors. The non-slip heel paired with a leather top lift ensures balance while providing a greater strike zone for your dance routines. Additionally, the soft microfiber lining is moisture-wicking, which helps keep your feet dry during those intense rehearsals.
One of the highlights of these shoes is the foam padded footbed that adds an extra layer of comfort, allowing you to focus solely on your performance without distractions. The slim buckle closure provides a secure fit, eliminating any worries about your shoes slipping off during vigorous movements.

A great shoe for theater or dance. I’ve worn them for multi hour events are they are pretty comfortable. These shoes run narrow so if you’re between sizes I recommend sizing up!
I use these for performing as princesses and other characters and they are beautiful and very sturdy. The fit is fantastic as I have a hard time finding narrow enough character/musical theater dance shoes. The t strap helps a lot and they are very lightweight for a pair of heels. The bottom is a suede material so these will be great on hardwood and vinyl stages and especially on marley. Also they are very stable and I don't tweak my ankle with them on. I have a weird gait where my foot supinates occasionally and my ankle rolls outward but so far this doesn't happen in these shoes. I will say you MUST break these in before wearing them. The first time I wore them was in a parade, over an hour of walking and even though I was wearing heel socks, they rolled down and my foot started to bleed up by the big toe joint as I have mild bunions. So heed my warning and break them in and bandage up areas that tend to rub on your shoes.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great shoe! It does fit a little narrow. We had to return for a larger size for my daughter so they didn’t look like her feet were stuffed in them. The smaller size fit in the length, but it looked and felt tight. One size up was perfect!
So I’m a dancer for years and years and I lost my character shoes so I ordered these. These are as beautiful as always very soft. You don’t have to break them in and they are true to size just so you I’m a size 8 they’re even a little Roomie in the heel area, but they are true to size exactly they should fit snug on your feet. Of course if you are doing quick dancing, the only issue is and the reason why I gave four stars instead of five stars is because the strap Going into the buckle is hard to put on. It takes probably about one minute to get the strap into the buckle the buckle should be made a little bit bigger plus I have long fingernails lol just a heads up on that one but beautiful as always very comfortable. You have to put rubber on the soles and on the heels so you don’t wipe out on any kind of floor Very slippery but you always put rubber take them to the Shoe Repair and get the rubber on the ball of the foot, and also on the heel!
These were great! Seemed na little narrow at first but I wore them around the house one night with thick socks and then the night I wore them I was comfortable ALL NIGHT! The back of the heel was a little short compared to others I have worn but with them strapped tight enough they didn’t slip off my heels. They are slippery on the dance floor but old school fix is to do the twist on concrete!
The black Capezios shown are 11 years old and heavily used. The tan - purchased here on Amazon - are 3 weeks old. I have other Capezio jazz and character shoes that are years old as well. I don’t know what has happened to Capezio, but please don’t risk purchasing their shoes anymore. The heel broke during a dress rehearsal as I was going down stairs. I did fall and it did hurt. Needless to say, I’ve gone down many a stair successfully in my 11-year-old pair, and many other character and non-character heels throughout my life, so I don’t imagine it was user error. Fortunately besides a lovely bruise or two I wasn’t injured, but the point is - it could have been way worse. When I saw the price and purchased the shoe I assumed it would be the interior and exterior that would be of lesser quality (and it’s true - note the tears in the leather that had never happened to any of my previous character shoes). I only needed the shoes for one show so went with it. Again, I’d had great success with Capezio shoes for years so had no doubt these shoes would last for the 2 months I needed them. It sounds melodramatic, but I feel a little betrayed by the Capezio brand now.I’m shocked Capezio would sacrifice craftsmanship to the point of endangering performers’ safety. Don’t risk it.
The shoes are overall good in terms of comfort and fit, but the buckles are too small for the straps, making it almost impossible to buckle them while they are on your feet. Your only hope is to force the buckles through the straps while they are off of your feet and stretch them to put them on while bucked.
