Wonderful dance shoes! I wear size 7.5 Women's in street shoes and size 8 for this shoe fits me perfectly. I had the same pair that lasted me 10 years through countless lessons and dances of ballroom, latin, swing, contra, folk, etc dancing and it was time for a new pair. I wear them with socks to reduce sweat/smelling of the shoes. They are sturdy and provide good spinning on hardwood floors. I scrape the bottom if there they become too slippery. Strongly recommend!

Sizing and comfort

I ordered this shoe and the Manhattan in the same order.In terms of sizing, I am very solidly a 7.5, and have neither wid nor narrow feet. I ordered a half size up and found there was about a centimeter gap between the back of my foot and the shoe. Makes me wonder if I needed to size up at all, but the shoe doesn't fall off so I am not returning it. It might run narrow - I personally have no issues with it (would prefer it for dancing, honestly) but it does feel like the sides of the shoe cling to my feet.I enjoy the height of the heel - as someone who wears heels but not frequently, it is very easy to get used to. The interior is comfy, but as another reviewer pointed out, the material is a soft kind of cheap feeling fabric that retains a lot of heat. For that reason, I actually prefer the Manhattan.

I bought these for my daughter for her to wear as concert shoes in her choir performances. They are perfect. Stylish with th long black gowns they wear but comfortable and easy to walk in and move up and down risers. I also borrowed them to wear to dinner one night and I could not have been more comfortable- walking a fair amount around Manhattan. Broken buckle one month in.

Bought this shoe for my daughter for a play. Purchased shoe March 9. She wore it during rehearsals to get them broken in. Approximately three times a week with spring break off. That means maybe 16 rehearsals and she may have put them on and off twice in each rehearsal. Two days ago at Saturday rehearsal, the buckle broke (the center prong came off). The play is this coming Saturday. I called Capezio but they said I need to talk to Amazon first. What am I supposed to do now? Even if one of them are willing to replace it, a new shoe would not be broken in. Not acceptable that a buckle would break this quickly and she isn't even doing any fancy dance moves in the show, most if it is just walking. So now I either pay shoe repair, or try to fix it myself and hope it holds up. I will seriously consider another brand for her next pair. And btw, when I say they fit as expected, that is because i expected to have to size up from her street shoe size as with all of her dance shoes.I just looked up on Capezio or another dance site to see how to size them. UPDATE: Amazon is replacing the shoe even though it's more than 30 days so I am very happy with Amazon. Leaving review at 3 stars because I am still not happy with Capezio and that she is now going to have to try to break in new shoes for the show in 5 days.
