Most comfortable pair of boots twice.
Carhartt's continued attention to quality construction, durability and comfort is, as always, front and center. This is my second pair of Carhartt's. I just received my first pair a couple weeks ago (the steel toe 11" waterproof Wellington) which was the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I'l definitely keep that pair, but for everyday wear particularly in these summer months I find them a litte heavy. This pair being composite toe and not so insulated are noticably lighter which helps me out now that I am considered handicapped. I'm not sure if there is a break in period since this pair of boots are the only shoes I've worn since I received them.

These boots are HEAVY
The boots look just like the picture. The appear well made, sturdy, and seem like they would take a beating. However, they feel like bricks on my feet and at my age, I don't feel like being slowed down by anything that heavy. It was a workout wearing them in my house to see how they fit. I can't imagine doing actual work in them. There's got to be sturdy boots out there that protect feet, are well made, but which aren't heavy as these. I'm going to look again and send these back.
