Very comfortable every day boots for the money

Two month review:I purchased these after my wolverine boots that were basically the same construction fell apart after a couple of years of normal usage. I don’t think any of the boots that you can buy today last more than two or three years, so I will update this review when the start to fall apart. The thing I like about the boots is also what I dislike about all boot construction these days, they have soft soft cloth lining, and that is what wears out first. You’ll never come close to wearing out the weather or the tread before the inside falls, apart, balls up, and becomes too uncomfortable to wear. The question is, when does this happen with these boots.I think they look great, which is why I purchased them. I am trying to keep them immaculate as I work in a teaching environment and have work boots that I wear for the rough stuff. At a minimum I want to clean these with saddle soap and polish them with brown polish regularly and see how much I can get out of them.In this price range, I don’t think you’re going to find any better boot.

Quality construction,comfy

I like the sale price of $75~ the overall quality, triple stitched where needed large padded collar, strong quick lace eyelets, durable but flexible sole and heel. The toe box is roomy but not squirmy typical with this style of work boot. My size 13 is half in longer than my size 13 Everboot hiker style work boot which are great boots too.Overall fit is comfortable and no break in needed just lace up and go.I've only used for a small job and can note they have great traction on slopes and that's a good thing. Slightly more clumsy than a hiker style boot so gotta be careful when climbing. Hiker boots seem to mold to your foot more than this style.Typically I get about 7&8 months of use out of my boots doing landscaping work. Digging, lots of walking, climbing trailers, trucks, tractors more digging and dealing with rock, dirt, stones, mulch, grass mud you name it..Although I haven't had these very long to see if they will hold up , based on my decades of experience wearing this style of work boot I can say that unless there is an unseen defect these should last up to a year or more. Not a heavy boot weighing only a couple oz more than my hikers style which is a good thing when on feet all day.I go thru 2 pairs of boots a year and replace when 1 pair looks badnot completely falling apart because I won't risk the safety of myself with worn out shoes.*Adding1/18/21 After a couple of solid work days I decided to replace the not so comfortable insoles with Dr. Scholls mens work boot insoles because I was feeling the hard sole when digging. This made a big difference in comfort for me.

Great quality, good comfort, one annoyance

These are good boots, and they live up to Carhartt quality. I expect they'll last me years. But, there is one really really annoying thing about them. The hooks for the speed laces on the top of the sole are too shallow. When I loop the laces around and pull to tighten, the lace always pops out of the hook. You have to tenderly coax the laces when tightening, which means it's hard to get them as tight as I would like. Other than that, great freaking boot.

Broke down in 8 weeks.

These boots were delivered on Dec 31 and I began wearing them to work after the new year. I don’t wear them every day nor am I on my feet all day. I work around horses and horse trailers and most of my day consists of being in a truck driving. After just two months of wearing them less than 25 hours a week the insides have broken down and trying to walk in them is extremely uncomfortable due to the angle that my foot now sits inside. Very disappointed that these didn’t even last six months.
