Work boots

These are very good work boots. My husband is on his feet long hours during the day on his job and he wears these even after work. Very comfortable and not heavy. He loves the composite toe as well. Says you don’t even know it’s there. Very durable. Last long…

Great boots!

I will be the first to admit that when I typically buy something I need I go with the cheapest possible solution. There are exceptions to this but footwear has never been one of them.I work on a farm so my boots take a beating. Usually I can get about a year out of a $60 pair from walmart. This year however my new pair didn't even make it a year, the interiors wore out and I was getting blisters and places wear it was rubbed raw on my feet. So I gave in, did some research into some more quality boots and gave these a shot. I have bought Carhartt coats and hats before and know what a quality brand they are.I will go beyond saying that these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn and say that they are the most comfortable footwear I have ever owned. Even when I put gel insoles into the other shoes/boots. I've already put them through some paces testing out the waterproofing and composite toe and they did not disappoint. My feet remained dry and safe. When combined with a pair of the Carhartt Men's Force socks they feel amazing. I worked a 13 hour shift doing a multitude of things and being on my feet all day. Climbing on and off trailers for a good 7 of those hours. And ONLY THEN did my feet really start to bother me at all, my feet would have been dying by the end of that in my old boots. If these last for a few years then I definitely know what my next pair of boots will be.

Heavy Duty

These Carhartt boots are the real deal. These are not cheaply made. The only downfall that I have to say are the strings. They are a little thin and not for this type of boot. They need to be thicker. Other than that these boots can handle it. Great protection for your toes and great support for your ankles. They look great and wear nicely. Like any footwear when you are going to be on your feet for long periods of time, be sure to add a pair of insoles. That will help in the ease of use of your boots and your feet and legs.

Terrible quality

I’m a contractor and good boots are essential. These however fell well short of that. After not even 6 mths the soles on both boots came completely off. I used to love all carhartt items but the quality overall has declined exponentially.

Good work boot

I am on your typical jobsite daily. lots of climbing, twists and turns. These boots stay with me. The high ankle support makes me not have to worry about turning an ankle. And the boots have a good sole so no slipping around.I've worn Redwings for the last 5 years. My job provides me with boots, so I take care of my feet. Had a problem with Redwing shipping to where I live (had a store 10 miles from my last residence) because now I live in Japan.Regardless. I wanted to try these Carhartts. I needed a larger (wider) boot. These claimed to be extra wide. And they are, I just wished they were wider. That is really my only complaint. They have just got broken in, and that takes a few weeks and so they are not as tight as they once were. But nowhere near the comfort of my last boot.I am not sure I will buy these again. I have no regret getting them. Just wished they were a fraction wider. And they could have come with a ratchet lace system. Or I am just lazy.

awesome

Usually it is difficult for me to find work boots in my size (men's US 6-8, depending on the brand / fit). Arrived just in time for a cold snap! I work construction, and we work through most of the winter, so insulated, water-proof boots are a must-have for me. There was a bit of chafing for the first week around the back of the leg area (through wearing wool socks and tucking sweatpants and thermals under the boot cuff), I think because I'm not used to wearing boots this high, but the extra support around the leg / ankle is actually pretty nice. Still flexible enough to crouch, kneel, and crawl around for extended periods of time, too! My toes only start to get cold after several hours in negative degrees, with windchill, and haven't been numb or excruciatingly cold at all yet. The sole is fairly grippy. I have slipped on the ice, but only fell once, when I'm usually on my ass multiple times. It does seem like some cold water / snow is able to leak through the lace area, but it's never been really noticeable, and may just be my sweat hitting the cold air when it finally makes it through the boot.

Warm, comfortable, well made

Great right out of the box. Definitely didnt have that dreaded "break in period". Couple of hours tops, and they feel fantastic. The wides are an actual wide, Love it. The composite toe makes for a nice lightweight that also doesnt feel as cold as a traditional steel toe. 27 degrees out earlier, feet felt plenty warm. Will update on the warmth and water resistance after some real winter conditions soon. I have no doubt on them being fine down into single digits, and tromping around in mud and snow, but we'll see soon enough.
