N o complaints. Comfortable and HEAVY duty.

No screws in the sole, made in Vietnam shoelaces are too short (I rock 78" laces and wrap around the ankle, just me) and I think they won't last as long as my insulated 'merican made Red Wings did. Other than that, these boots are amazing. They are heavy. Carolina always fit me perfectly. Leather is beautiful. The soles won't fall off w/o the screws into the shank. Nice switch from the brown sold every where. Get these, you'll look like a lineman and be warm and safe in ice.

Good price, well made!

The first time I put the boots on I thought that the were too narrow. But when I got my feet all the way into the boot NO PROBLEMS. I wore them the next day very comfortable, very warm with thin sweat socks, all day. I think that these boots are some well constructed boots. I wear them after the snow has been shoveled for a pathway. Good traction and not bulky like Sorel snow boots. Understated quality. They cost less on amazon.com as opposed to the different websites also.

If you need this type of boot, no better Quality for the price

I am a Lineman, I must have a steel shank and a big heal, I assume loggers do too, The best shoes that I have ever had, heel and sole wear very even. This has not always been the case, I think I have an odd gate and usually were the bottoms unevenly. not a bit with these long lasting heels and sole. The leather upper are tough. They wear as leather does, and I am sure they could be tanned to look new, I work 60 hours a week, and don't have the time. Cant believe there is a much better boot of this particular kind, let alone at this price. I have never written a review before. One thing, if they are for work, might get some added padding to make them perfect.Well Done Carolina!

The only thing not to happy with is the sole waterproofing cracks very easy it might last a year or so but I'm very hard on boots at my job ..after you get boots broke in you need a sole insert for comfort on the inside of boot

Best value for 600g insulated leather boot

I work in a 0 degree F warehouse; 600 g of thinsulate have been very effective with my level of movement (order selector). The wind chill on my pallet jack can cause a bit of a toe chill when I’m riding more than moving (-16 wind chill, who knew), but it levels out when I become active again. If you’re less active like on a forklift in this environment I’d recommend something with more like 800-1000 g.Fantastic arch support for the foot, leather is holding up really well; took about 2-3 days for break-in. Depending on your ankle/lower calf shape the fold of that gusseted tongue may press uncomfortably until it gives with time, but it’s simple to keep slack on that spot in the interim (inside right shin for me, gone now). The hardware is solid, and the walking heel is nice for my gait.Only thing that can be a downer for me is my feet can get kinda sore on the bottom, but only because in that deep cold the rubber of the outsole becomes much harder so it absorbs less impact. Granted, I am on concrete. A honey lug sole would be more forgiving in my situation (I can resole when it’s time) but if you’re outdoors that may actually be a plus. When I transfer to our deli (35 F) the rubber softens up again and it’s a non-issue.Also they look damn good.
