Love these boots for our toddler. I did go one size up so he could grow into them and they still work well even though they're a bit big. He clomps around in them. He did trip once, but after he figured out how to walk in them, he's been fine. These are great outdoor shoes for exploring, even in the muddy spring grass. They're also very easy to get on/off, although the shoelaces are a little annoying. They get stuck in the Velcro.
They are cute boots but are not your rugged outdoor types. These boots are good for style mostly for regular play. They are light weight and aren't clunky at the playground. He likes them.

This works well in a little bit of mud, but is not as awkward as a snow or rain boot. Good for fall or spring weather. Good quality, fits well.
