I love these!!!!
I expected the normal aching feet within the first 2 hours and nope, no pain, on my feet all day on concrete floor, building doors, constantly moving, lifting heavy objects, using power tools and saws and they worked perfectly. Ankle is secured, has some nice support, I'm flat footed so was cautious about a high arch, especially since most high arch soles can make my feet ache but still again, no pain. All day long. I ordered a half size up from what I normally wear because boots like these are meant to be worn with a heavy duty sock. When you first put them on there's a little bit of pressure around the foot, make sure you go back and correctly lace them up to how you need them before you start breaking them in. The more you wear, the more they break in. As the day went by I could feel them Start to mold to my feet more and more and typically when I get home I'm rushing to get my work shoes off and my slides on, nah, I'm still wearing these bad boys. Got so many compliments on them, asking what brand and where I got them and how cute but bada** they look. I love the color, I love the design, I love that I've found a heavy duty shoe for a job that is a demanding one. 10/10 I absolutely recommend these.

AMAZINGLY WELL MADE, SUPPORTIVE, AND COMFORTABLE FOR ALL DAY!
I purchased these because of their practicality and durability and comfort. Caterpillar has a great reputation. I used to have Timberlands. But the new Timberlands I tried were inflexible and came with a defect. I returned those. I decided to try these because they had the specs I was looking for at a decent price: leather lace up work boots with ankle support and padded rims for all day work wear. Other things I wanted for a good work boot: steel or protective toe, durability, well made, high review score, flexible, comfort for work and all day wear, reputation of the company, and price points. I needed a boot with ankle support and a tall calf range boot for stability for work and bike. The boot also has some decent heft and is real leather uppers with a padded rim which is what I wanted. It makes a decent boot for bike riding. Comfort was an issue for me also because I am a tenderfoot. Hook eyelets were also what I wanted and a sturdy but bendable sole and no slip bottoms. This CAT boot has it all!The welt is genuinely stitch sewn with heavy duty waxed threads like you would expect with real leather work. It's not plastic made to look like stitches to the midsole. The sole and midsole is thickly layered onto a tread that allows the foot to flex and not feel rigid like some boots. It allows my feet to flex with some movement and never get sore.I bought a size 6. I generally wear a normal size 6 in all of my other boots (Timberlands, Justin, Forever 21, etc.). I wear a size 6.5 in running shoes depending on the brand. The Amazon bot recommended a size 6.5 but I trusted my hunch and went with the 6. The 6 fit me perfectly and I had plenty of wiggle room. I am 5'1" at 110 lbs with normal feet width. This size 6 normal width fit me perfectly. The inside has good padding and a decent man-made material insole. I tried them on for the first time and walked around for hours without any pain, fatigue, or any hitch. The next day I wore them for 13 hours on my feet in one day and they were supportive, solid, and as comfortable as comfy slippers. Then I went riding the next day for 4 hours and continued to wear these into the night. Total comfort all day! I already want to buy another pair before they change the design and price! Worth every penny to save my feet! The laces are thick and not overly long. I did not experience any bad tongue alignment or soreness either and so far so good. Inside and out these boots are working for me without any discomfort.I'll continue to wear them and further my review as needed later but for now, it's five stars!I may get another pair before the price goes up next year!

Just right for the price
I don’t know what everybody’s talking about. Work boots aren’t supposed to be perfect and clean. That’s a sign that you’re a lazy worker. I like these boots because they were comfortable and they looked worn in and I felt like my boots represented a working person and not a lazy person. I bought them for my carpentry program at a trade school so that I could have work boots already worn in before I started my job. I think they look great with paint and drywall mud marks and scratches on them. They look like they are supposed to. They’re not a fashion boot they’re work boots. If you wanted a fashion boot, why did you buy a caterpillar product? Wannabes just buy some sketchers at the mall? These boots are just great for medium duty and they are not meant for posers- they’re made for trades workers.

Fits good
Good boot just too stiff. Go for the brown for a softer leather.

3 months in and now retired
Wore 4 days a week for a security job, roughly 4 hour shifts. Most boots last a year or two. It's been 3 months and the lining tore out and has torn my ankles apart. My feet ache more than trying to break in a pair of doc martens. They run waide. They're heavy. They made my feet soak in my sweat cause they don't breath. The laces they came with broke the first time I tried on my boots. Save your money,Save your money, save your money.
