These are great work shoes

These are great work shoes. Light and comfortable with a composite material protective toe. Not a metal toe, but then the shoe is surprisingly light and comfortable to wear for long periods. I tried on a lot of boots before selecting these, and I am very satisfied with the choice. One thing: For some reason, the description of the shoe, if you select the gray/black coloration, is described as a "running shoe". Don't get that at all.... this is a work shoe, light weight, but a work shoe ntl. Of course, selecting the gray/black color scheme also generated a price-savings of fully $45, which I happily took.

Very nice looking shoes

Very nice looking shoes, very comfortable and light on my feet. CAT did a good job with these. Holding them alone even they feel they are built tough but in a way that does not compromise style and comfort. Does not feel like safety shoes at all. My previous safety shoes were a Red Wing, felt like a brick on feet. I would even wear them for everyday activity.

Nice Shoe

Fortunately for me, I was able to try these on in a store before ordering them online for a better price, so I got a good fit. They do run a little bit (almost 1/2 size) bigger than the indicated size, anyone ordering should be aware of this. There is just a tiny bit of friction in the big toe area, but I expect it to resolve quickly as the shoe breaks in. I've been wearing these all day every day for about a week since I got them, very pleased with the comfort, support, stylish looks, and light sporty feel of the shoe.

Very Nice!

Wore them for quite a few shifts now and they're very comfortable. Though I ordered the wide size, they really don't feel that wide or loose and the composite toe fit is perfect. Having that protection for your toes is a big plus and doesn't even feel like is there. They're not waterproof but your feet don't immediately get wet either.

Great product. This is my third pair

Great product. This is my third pair. It is comfortable and light weight. The shoe laces are sub standard. I have to get new shoe laces for it. It is a work shoe and should have a good set of shoe laces that last the life of the shoe. I hope Cat read this review and improve on the shoe laces. Perhaps Cat can sent buyer complementary laces when the OEM failed or at least give buyer and option to buy new shoe laces. These shoe is $135.0 per pair.

I have mixed reviews on these shoes.

These shoes tend to feel too small to me in the width department. Length feels fine. I originally tried on a regular and couldn't get my feet in to them. I then ordered a wide version and they do fit better, but I have to wear a thin dress type sock with them. Anything thicker and I feel like my feet are suffocating. What I do love about these shoes is they are very light compared to many other shoes and boots I've worn. I feel if they were a little bit wider, I would absolutely love them, but I already have the widest they make. I also like the look and the styling of them. What I don't like is what I stated above, they seem too narrow, even the wide versons. Also, they state they are a slip resistant sole. Compared to a many other pairs of shoes and boots I've worn over the past 30 years in my profession, they fail in that category. I work on military aircraft so I am always walking on hydraulic fluid, oils, grease, and jet fuel and I would claim they are not very slip resistant. Now, my biggest complaint with my pair of these shoes in the composite toe in my left shoe. It feels like when it was manufactured it was installed cocked or something. It crowds my big toe and makes the shoe uncomfortable to wear. I would have sent them back because of it, but at the time I really needed a new pair of shoes for work. Ironically, because I was wearing a pair of Keens and they were the opposite and crowding my pinky toe so much so it created a sore to the point I couldn't wear them any more. The Keens and these Cats are the only two pairs that I have ever had that have created this type of problem. But I do still like these shoes. Would I buy again, I don't know. They are holding up good so far, I've had them for about 4 months. If you buy them, it would be better to buy in a store so you can try them on, but the prices are way better on Amazon. I paid around $66 for them here, but my local Sears were selling these for over $120. Hope this helps some.

Most worn pair in my life!

I’m a female engineer who got tired of the constant wearing of traditional safety boots in the workshop and changing at the close of day to “regular” sneakers. Upon careful search I decided to get these safety boots and I have realllly worn these, it should be running from me any time I’m getting close to it to wear, if it had legs. I’ve worn these for not less than 1.5 years and daily during my 5 weeks shifts, it only rests during my 3 weeks off shifts and there is no sign of wear or tear. Should it finally give up on me, though I don’t see it happening soon, I’d buy the same again
