My teenage son was going on a school camping trip and needed a pair of hiking shoes. **Update: Lasted 7 months until small holes started wearing through the botton of the rubber soles. Once that happens, water seeps up through those air-pocket holes if its raining, and your feet get SOAKED. Too bad though, because otherwise I REALLY liked them! And, not too bad when you think about it - they were only 50 bucks, I wore them EVERY DAY for work (I'm an LTL truck driver, in and out of the truck about 10 times per day), and even sometimes on the weekends, and they lasted 7 months. Very comfortable, I wear them daily and am on my feet 8-10 hrs a day, ladders, roofs, uneven ground, winter conditions and my dogs are only slightly sore at end of the day . I opted for the wide and it's a game changer. I dig the basic, no frills look about them. I scored a pretty good deal on them but even at full price I feel they'd be a decent value.

Not great for a work boot
I bought these for my son for his job, he does construction. Was very pleased with the shoes when they arrived and ordered another pair in a different color for my husband. He normally buys timberland shoes and this was much cheaper! He was really happy with them, but both pair of shoes were trash after 2 months! One shoe developed a hole in the sole and my husband’s feet got wet. My son’s sole began flapping which is definitely dangerous when you’re on a roof! I’d say these shoes may be great for someone who doesn’t use them hard every day but they’re not built to last hard use. My husband is back in timberland shoes as they normally last at least 6 months for him.
