Soooo... I love these boots... But... The girls in the photos must be insanely tall, because for me, at 5'4", they're legit Thigh-High boots. That's only a problem because my thighs are currently too big to pull them up all the way. Fortunately I'm having success with loosing weight, so eventually I will be able to actually wear them. I was able to get my feet into them. The upper part was just all bunched up. I can tell you, I can't hardly wait for when I can wear them because the shoe part is so comfortable. And as someone who used to do leather working and make saddles, I can attest to the quality of the material and workmanship. These are an unbelievable value.

Kinda over-the-knee boots for wide calf girlies!!!
I LOVE these boots!! These are my first pair of "non-traditional" cowboy boots. I say "non-traditional" because they are in fact over-the-knee boots. Great quality item and yes, they are tall as pictured and most certainly will extend over the knee depending on your height and calf-width. I have a wider calf and these fit me perfectly and came just past my knee so I have about a 95% full extension on the boot shaft!! That is a HUGE win because sometimes wide-calf still doesn't allow for full shaft extension so "over-the-knee" is often just "knee length". For my wide calf girlies go ahead and get these they'll work! The stitching on the boot is perfect and though I've only worn them to try on around the house, they feel really comfortable and seem to have a good grip on tile floors. Cant wait to wear these out!
