Love them, great kids shoe!
These are perfect, I made sure to trace my daughters foot and order a half size up based on Chaco’s sizing recommendations. There’s a little room at the top to grow in, they hug the foot well, no place on them will rub the foot. I know they are difficult to get on but I figured it out, until they are stretched you have to push the foot all the way into the shoe until the back stiff part is behind the heel, then pull the mesh part back up over the heel. It worked on the first try!

The perfect after-injury shoe!
I recently injured my foot where I broke my second toe, lost my big toe nail, had stitches in my big toe, and lots of nerve damage on the top of my foot. No shoe felt comfortable, safe, or secure enough for me to wear. My sneakers put too much pressure on my nerves and big toe, my chaco sandals were good on my nerves, but left my toes exposed; I just couldn’t find anything to work. I bought these closed toes sandals hoping they’d allow me to walk and they did! I’m so happy I got these shoes. The toe bed is nice a big so my toes aren’t cramped together. I love that the top part is all one piece so I don’t have much pressure on the top of my foot. And of course the arch support!!! I have very high arches and I know I can always count on Chacos to support them. They look very sporty and will be great for the summer with my recovery and beyond. I haven’t tried them in the water yet but I’m excited to!

Son loves but stinky
OMG these stink so bad !!! I usually get the regular chaco strap sandals for myself and son but decided to get us both the odyssey shoe....The children's version has a full closed heel unlike the adults, and they also do not have a way to drain any water that gets in them. They are a water shoe so ......?...... Even with prompt removal and drying they stink, I contacted chaco and they did say to wash them in the washer and I will but honestly I don't see this going away. None of his other shoes have this level of stink. Even those he wears sockless like crocs and nike sandals. The bad is that they are not but a couple months old and only been wet twice. Now they are about to hit the garbage can. However, because they are so cute and he said they were very comfortable I would order them again for a vacation .

Don't need to tighten those long straps so much!
I hesitated to order these shoes despite my love of the Chaco footbed because of the numerous complaints about the long straps. I have a very high arch and wear many Chaco shoes and sandals because they eliminate my old problems with plantar fasciiitis. However, my foot is also very narrow and some of their products are too wide. I worried if I tightened the straps enough to make them secure, I would face the dangling strap problem. However, these shoes come up quite high on my ankle and I hardly need to tighten the straps at all for them to fit securely. Plus if I leave the straps slightly loose, I can slip them on and off with no need to adjust the straps. Win-win for me. Worth trying if you are hesitating. I ordered them for the beach and am using them to walk my dog because they feel so good.

worth the $$
My first pair of Chaco's and I am very pleased. Really good looking sandal and comfortable. I usually wear 9.5 but Chaco's didn't have half sizes so I went up to 10, good thing I did, they fit perfect, so Chacos may run on the small side in length. Bought the wax teal color which is very pretty. A few reviews complained about the strap being long, and it is when you tighten up the strap, but for heavens sake just tuck it under and its fine.

Cute, but too small and too difficult for a child to put on
These shoes are very cute and have the potential to be very functional as shoes for kids in the summer. Once the kids got the shoes on, they said they were really comfortable and would have been great for summer time activities. However, they were at least one size too small and very difficult to put on. Even with a size that was too big, our kid could not easily slide the shoes on and off. Sadly, we had to return them.
