Light weight, flexible. The quality is above expectations. They're comfortable and support the whole foot. From what I can tell, they are also slip-resistant.

I needed a pair of “indoor only” shoes and decided to purchase these. These are very nice, lightweight slip ons. I read the reviews here and was concerned about the size being too small, so I followed the advice that I should measure my foot to centimeters and find a Chinese foot size conversion chart. That told me that I probably needed to get the size 11 instead of the 10 I usually wear. Well, I got them...and they are slightly too big, even with socks on. Not too terribly bad, but they do stretch out a bit, so I should have just gotten the size 10....they would have been perfect. That said, good shoes anyway.
I use these for my Taekwondo shoes.Great fit, very thin. My only issue is that they fall apart quite rapidly and stretch out. At first, perfect, after 2 or 3 classes, they go flying off my feet with the slightest kick.Wearing them around the house is amazing though, worth it.
I ordered these shoes for kicking a punching bag outdoors in my driveway. They would work well for that purpose, if the fit was a bit better. I ordered size 41, which is my correct size (US women's 9.5 wide, US men's 7.5). I know size 41 is my correct size because I have other pairs of shoes in this size which fit well. I would like these shoes very well, except that the fit is not quite right. Both shoes are printed with size 41, but the left is a little too big, and the right is a little too small. The shoes appear to be the same size, so I think the fit is due to the way the upper is stitched onto the sole, and how much space was left at the edge. I was disappointed because otherwise, these are very nice martial arts shoes. They have that nice "brand new sneaker" smell when they come out of the package. They shipped from China in 9 days (free shipping for Prime members). The price was good ($15). They come bagged up in a cute plastic wrapper with Chinese writing on it. I have already worn these shoes and gotten dirt on them, so I will keep them and use them for something (maybe slippers, or basement shoes, because I have a damp basement and can't wear regular slippers down there to do the laundry). I will try them out on the punching bag, but I think because of the right shoe being a little too tight, they will not be comfortable for a long workout. The other shoes I have in size 41 are all either a good fit, or a little too loose. I can't really explain why this one is a little tight, unless it is the stitching or the size label is wrong. I wanted to give these shoes a good review, but unfortunately I got a pair that was not quite right.
I recently purchased these APIKA Old Beijing Shoes and have been pleasantly surprised by their comfort and design. The canvas upper is breathable, making them suitable for extended wear, while the sole provides good traction. They're easy to slip on and off, adding to their convenience. Whether you're practicing martial arts like Kung Fu or Tai Chi, or simply looking for a comfortable everyday shoe, these fit the bill. Plus, they offer a touch of traditional Chinese style that's both unique and fashionable.
These are fun! They are supposed to fit tight and that’s hard to figure out from “sizes.” So, here’s the trick:These are actually marked in milimeters. The actual length, inside the shoe, in millimeters is written on the bottom of the sole.Step 1: Get a ruler, regular school supply ruler with a cm/mm scale, and measure your foot. If you will wear them with socks, measure with socks, if without, measure without. Remember 10 mm to 1 cm for us metrically challenged people. You should get something on the order of 250. If you get 8.5, you’re on the inch side, try again. If you get 24 and a half, almost there; multiply by 10. There, not so bad?Step 2. Find a China shoe size to metric chart (Google; it might be in cm, remember the conversion?) For example: CHN45 = 275 mm = 27.5 cm, inside. Pick what you think will fit. If in doubt, shoot small. I backed off 5 mm and that works. They do stretch somewhat, so you don’t have to hit it perfectly and that seems to negate any problems with my sorta widish foot. Quality seems good for the price. The rubber molding to the cloth is a bit messy, but acceptable. What exactly are the materials? Can you wash them? No idea, there’s no label at all. But I’m pleased with them.
I've been training martial arts for almost 20 years and I've had a lot of different shoes and brands. These are nothing special and really are not great quality. There is a thin sheet of fabric that covers the foot bed and the stitching of mine started to unravel within a month. I just ripped it out since it is in the shoe and was mostly cosmetic but that made the foot bed itself a little uncomfortable. There are better options out there and this isn't one.
