I haven't had a pair of Clarks in forever. Needless to say, their quality is still great! The style of the boots look really nice and can be dressed up or down. The leather is soft and the shoe is comfortable. They fit as expected and are pretty lightweight. I def recommend them!
These Clarks Emmet Zip boots in brown distressed leather (size 11) are exactly what I was looking for in a casual winter boot. The side zipper makes them a breeze to slip on and off—no fighting with laces when I’m rushing out the door—and the distressed leather has that perfect broken-in look right out of the box, like they’ve already got some stories.They’re incredibly comfortable for all-day wear; the OrthoLite footbed and cushioned midsole take the sting out of walking on concrete or standing around, and the leather is soft yet supportive around the ankle. The rubber sole grips wet sidewalks and light snow without any slips, and the brown color hides scuffs and salt stains way better than my old black pair.I’ve worn them with jeans, chinos, even under suit pants on casual Fridays, and they always look sharp. My wife says they give off “rugged but put-together” vibes.Only small note: they run a touch wide in the heel, so I added a thin insole for a snugger fit, but that’s personal preference.Overall, stylish, comfy, and built to last—easily my favorite everyday boots this season. Worth every penny!
Man, these are some great boots. Not only do they look nice and well made, they also wear well! Wore these to work for 10 hours, where I’m on my feet the entire time, without any issues. They have good arch support with a comfortable insole. They were a little stiff initially, but took very little time for them to be broken in. They fit true to size and are comfortable. The leather looks super nice and wearing them you can tell they are high quality boots. I like the zipper feature so I don’t have to retie my shoes all day, which often happens with the dress shoes. They are a bit heavy, but not for any boot of similar nature. It isn’t noticeable during actual movement. They are such great quality and seem very durable. We put a protectant spray on the boots and feel that helped repel any potential scratching that could occur. These shoes could be used for work, out to dinner both casually and cocktail attire. Super impressed with these and super pleased with these boots!
This is a nice boot; however, it looks better than it feels.The leather is good quality; it’s soft, yet durable, and elevates the overall aesthetic of the boot. Also, the zip feature provides a unique convenience that your typical boot does not.Sadly, the sole and the heel are not as durable/substantial as other boots (also in terms of foot support). It feels more like a standard dress shoe than a boot platform; meaning, there are concerns about long-term wear, especially in wet or uneven conditions.All things considered, this product is a case of both style over comfort + paying for the brand name; still, if you’re looking for a sleek boot to complement your fit, this product is a solid option — could recommend.
Clark Shoes has a fine product in these Emmet zip shoes. Nicely styled in Brown distressed leather. The side zip function, combined with the top lacing, allows for an easy-on, easy-off well-fitting shoe. They are VERY comfortable, with the arch support and width keeping my feet happy even with all day wear. And speaking of wear, these boots are made with full leather uppers, and a solid rubber sole for durability. The fit was just as ordered.
My husband is wearing these and they look almost dressy with grey or black jeans or even slacks. I ordered them because the style fits the sort of clothes he likes to wear when he goes out. They are not formal, but they are not work boots or footwear one would regularly take long walks in, either. They have a zipper and fine, thin, round laces. They are not clunky. These are styled to be somewhere in-between; they are casual with a flair. My husband might wear them to parties, family events, restaurants and shows.The zipper makes them fit especially well around my husband’s ankle, and the size, 11.5, fits him well. He has a wide foot, so we were concerned about the potential for these to be too tight given that the almond-shaped toe, another feature that makes them seem less dressy.The tongue is slightly padded for comfort. The footbed is padded with a dense, spongy, removeable insert, as well. My husband replaced this with a thicker orthotic, and the boots still fit him well. The sides and toe are a bit stiff; the boot has held its shape through a week of wear.Brown would have been his first color choice, but black was the color available in his size. The black color and finish shown in the ad is not the black color of finish we received, however. I might best describe the color as a mix of a matte “washed denim” and a shiny black, with the wash being in a black/charcoal variation rather than traditional indigo/blue.The shiny toe is black. It fades to a matte body that is almost a solid dark grey, mostly hidden under the ankle of the pant leg while standing. Some might like this shiny/matte and grey/black combination. It is perhaps subtle, but my husband and I would prefer solid black or solid charcoal in either shiny or matte--more like the Amazon ad photo.The upper material, listed as “genuine leather” in the ad, has the feel of a smooth synthetic coating or fabric similar to vinyl or faux leather. Nowhere on or in the boots or in the literature/box that comes with the boot is leather of any sort mentioned—only in the Amazon ad. Materials used to make footwear are often noted on the interior of the tongue or near the ankle of footwear, but are not given for this product. The boots are made in India for Clarks and the Clarks name is in relief on the flexible rubber sole.
