Looks and Quality
Another high quality product from Clark's as they usually do. Definitely a 5 stars product. If they had it in other colour's I'd have bought others. It fits closely, hence if you don't like your shoes touching on your feet you might want to go a size or a half size up.

great!
It's an early time to write a review as this is day two of wearing this boot. However, they are so nice right out of the box. Besides being attractive foot wear (my wife says sexy looking) they're so comfortable. This is the third pair of Clark's that I own in three different styles. All three have a smooth lining which makes for easy on and doesn't pull my socks. The rubber sole is super quiet when walking on vinyl floors. The black leather exterior is soft and smooth. I normally wear a size 12, however I ordered 13 based on reviews saying they run a bit shorter, there is very little heel slip and a just bit snug around the toe box. Once they're broken in, it will be a perfect fit. Oh, and I did go ahead and order the brown.

Worst boot ever!
UPDATE to 3 stars: I made modifications to the boot, adding 2 shoelace grommets each side. The original boot had 2 grommets on each side, as per the pictures. With only 2 grommets I couldn't secure the boot to fit properly. After my modification, I actually like this ankle boot now and will probably keep and wear it, until it perishes.ORIGINAL 1 star review: This was hands-down my worst purchase ever. Buying footwear online is tough, but I thought I would take a chance on Clark's (brand recognition), "Made in India", Leather, reasonably good reviews from other people, etc. So here are my pros & cons:Pros: Dressy/smart looking with a pair of slacks or boot-cut jeans. "Genuine leather" uppers (not great quality hide). It might be goat or water buffalo leather - commonly used in India - but they don't specify so I'm not sure. Soft to the touch (uppers). Good inside layered padding for sole comfort. Initially I tried the shoes indoors and thought they were quite comfortable. Then, I removed the tags and wore them for two days outside... meaning I can't return them and someone might benefit from a nearly new pair of donated shoes!Cons: 2 lace eyelets on either side, resulting in the 24" shoelaces being too long (but those can be replaced). I do leather work, so I thought I'd add two holes (top and bottom), converting the 2 holes to 4 on each side. I didn't do that initially because I only ended up test-driving the boots for 2 days. The ankle gaps are too wide for a 2-hole either side lace-up shoe, once the shoe is tied. The two shoes were inconsistent - the one had a rubber sole that was a different size to the other. The inner lining is "cheap" vinyl/plastic.
