Clark's Shoes are always a good buy!
I received my Clark's Roseville Mary Jane flats, and am very pleased with them. They are comfortable from the moment I put them on; no break-in necessary, and are true to size (I wear a size 7 in Clark's shoes). The padded insole is well-padded in all the right places (arch & ball of foot). The strap across the top of my foot is fastened with a velcro strap that passes through a metal loop, making it easy to adjust. The fit is great! No gaps around the heel or elsewhere. No claustrophobic or pinched toes! Perfect! Good design and quality. The suede and smooth leather combination gives a stylish flair to the overall appearance of these shoes.If you are looking for a high quality, long-wearing,, comfortable shoe, you will not be disappointed in this one! The only problem I have ever had with Clark's shoes is wearing them out so I can buy new ones! : )

They need to be broken in. Once they are, they're great.
I initially was going to give these shoes a horrible review and return them. At first these shoes were really uncomfortable in the heel/ankle and in the "key hole" of the maryjanes we're painfully rubbing against the top of my foot. I didn't have any faith that they would break in. But after wearing them with medium weight socks and wearing them to work and casual walks for about a week or two, they've worn in perfectly for me. All the areas that were stiff at first have softened. I can now wear them without socks and I don't feel any discomfort whatsoever. My only chief complaint is that the insoles aren't removable. I would have loved to put my high arch insoles in there. The cushioning is decent but the arch support is somewhat minimal. I'm glad these worked out because they are very good looking--I am glad I gave them a chance to break in and be comfortable as well as stylish.

Nice work shoe

A little heavy
I ordered this shoe because I'm looking for a light shoe which will carry me through the winter and spring which I can wear with both dresses and pants. Some reviews here said this shoe was lightweight, it really is not. Plus, it was tight on my feet, and my feet still hurt from when I tried it on, and walked around my house for a few minutes. I'm sending it back. It's cute but a little clunky. I wear 11.5, so finding 'cute' shoes is very difficult for me. I ordered a 12, and it was tight.

CUT GRASS MIXED INTO RUBBER SOLE - SO UGLY!!!! SHOE LOOKS DIRTY WHEN BRAND NEW!
I am appalled with Clark's for being so cheap use rubber that contains chopped grass mixed into the rubber. It is absolutely outrageous that I would get a brand new pair of shoes and when I pull them out of the box, the soles look filthy like they've tromped through a country barn yard. Unbelievable! I thought that I had just received a pair from a defective batch, but then upon looking at photos of the shoes online on amazon's website, I can see the grass specks in the sole on the photo online! It is actually INTENSIONAL to have chopped up grass in the soles of these shoes. the specks are the size of glitter. Glitter would have been better because then the shoes would not look dirty, but just obnoxious! But instead, with cut hay in the soles of these shoes, they are fit for the country barn yard and nothing more. I will never buy Clark's again!!!!!
