Not excited with the initial smell but it gets better as days go by. I live in a hot/desert environment so the style helps my feet stay cool when outside. Harsh Chemical Smell
The shoes look visual fine in the Amazon listing picture.You need to know that the shoes is entirely man made. Plastic looking upper shoe and plastic rubber sole.There is no true buckle closure. Only the appearance of a buckle, whose strap gets attached to the main shoe by velcro.Insole is flimsy and slides around when you walk on it.But most of all, the shoe arrives with a harsh chemical smell that fills your room. Worse than the smell of a memory foam pillow upon first opening. I do not know if the smell lessens over time, but since I was going to be traveling overseas with these, I did not want all of the clothes in my suitcase to smell like this harsh chemical smell.
