Absolutely incredible hiking boots. Very stylish as well as comfortable. Best I've tried!
These are definitely the nicest hiking boots I've had. They're not just comfortable and work well on less-than-ideal turf, they're also really nice looking. A feat that isn't always easy to pull off with utilitarian shoes like hiking boots. The leather on the upper part is so buttery soft and smooth, I just love it. Everything about the look is just perfect. I guess if you want stylish, beautifully designed shoes for any reason you can count on the Italians to make it happen. I think this is the first time I've ever thought hiking boots were truly nice looking.Aside from how they look, they feel absolutely wonderful! They're very lightweight despite looking like they could be heavy. That's pretty important when it comes to walking long distances. They have just the right amount of cushion so be very comfortable while still providing good support. My feet run hot, so that's always a big concern with thick boots. I'm happy to say that while my feet did eventually get warm, which is inevitable no matter what shoes I wear, they never felt really overheated and weren't uncomfortably hot. The shoes definitely breath well so I didn't feel like my feet were sweating and claustrophobic.The soles have some serious grip power. You can see it right away but I've also tried them out on some inclines and had no problems getting up or down. Everything area of the show seems built to last, very durable and in it for the long haul. They fit very well. I'm a woman and in regular shoes I typically wear 8.5-9 depending on the fit. Shifting that to men's shoes usually means getting 7.5 or maybe 8. This time I went with 8 since I knew I might be wearing thicker socks than usual (my normal sock is a thin no-show) plus I didn't want to risk it being tight. Size 8 has been perfect. A little extra room up front to give my feet space but not so much it feels too big.I live in the Pacific Northwest where hiking is a big activity, so I see hiking shoes all over. These are definitely better looking than what I usually see, and while the price is not low it's also not as high as I've seen for shoes that aren't nearly as nice. For what you're getting I think it's a great deal. Once it starts raining here it can go on for months, so even when I'm not hiking I sometimes wear hiking shoes to have a better grip on slippery surfaces. These are light enough and look nice enough that I could wear them on regular days too. I can tell that beautiful leather will keep the rain away and I have no doubt the rest of it will too. And they're high enough that when I come across puddles or have to walk on muddy, wet grass I won't have anything to worry about.I'm so impressed with these boots. It's not often you find this much style on a shoe meant for "work" but here you have it. But it also gives you the best of both worlds since you're also getting incredible quality, comfort, and everything you could ask for in a hiking boot. Very, very highly recommended.
