For years I resisted Cole Haans. wrote them off as Yuppy shoes.
I've had them now about 6 months...Historically I haven't spent more than about $100 on shoes unless they were good steel toes or cowboy boots. Finally spending $180 on boat shoes seemed anathematic to me.They're comfy as hell, they look great with every wardrobe option, and take protectants and cleaning solution well. I am hard on shoes - and these haven't even started to scuff yet. The leather is full grain deep - not that plasticy crap you see everywhere today. They fit great, true to size. Have had no issues with blisters or breaking them in in bare feet. They look great with shorts, or jeans, or even khakis, and they are a go-to-shoe when I get back to the house/hotel after being in work boots, or dress shoes all day. They're like Mr Roger's ridiculous slippers that he'd put on - only I don't have to be kind to children and wear that obnoxious sweater vest thing he wore while telling everyone how special they were.
