I got 2 pairs of these. A pair for my husband & a pair for my son. They both really like them, & say they're super comfortable & never got blisters even after wearing them the first time, all day long. They're well made & attractive with dress slacks or jeans.
I have undergone multiple surgeries and suffer from arthritis in both knees. I spend every day at work standing on hard floors. I have purchased several cheaper shoes and added cushioned inserts, but within one to two weeks, they all break down, leaving my knees throbbing. This pair, however, is of much better quality—the leather, soles, and all the materials used are superior. Finally, I can make it through the day without experiencing pain in my feet and knees. At approximately the cost of three pairs priced at $50 each, if you want to invest in one durable pair, these are the ones to choose!
I have been ordering the Grands series by Cole Haan for at least 10 years or since they first came out with the flashy colored rubber tennis shoe soles on wingtip and oxford shoes. This particular series is by far the most comfortable dress/casual shoe I own. The shoe is well made and light. The tongue of the shoe is made of a cloth/elastic material that is sewn to the sides so that it does not get out of place. I was worried at first that this would be a problem for my high instep wide foot. It is no problem at all. In fact, it is a great improvement. The shoes go on and off very easily, yet they remain snug all day without ever feeling tight. I think alot of thought was put into this shoe design. I highly recommend getting a pair. I would buy a second pair of another color, but, as usual, they are not available.
I have had these shoes about a week. It feels like you are wearing a running shoe, but it's a great looking dress shoe. I bought a medium width, which is normal for me, but the shoes feel a bit wider than the Cole Haan loafers I have worn in the past. Also, the area under the ankles rises a bit higher than I would like. I think that will get more comfortable as I wear them more. The design is a bit unique in that there is no loose tongue. The tongue is a stretchy material like what you see at the top of the heel area. I like it but it is a bit different than a traditional oxford style shoe. On the whole, I am very pleased and it's great to get to the end of the day and not have your feet sore and tired. I am looking at some other colors for a future buy. Great job, Cole Haan.

Shoes looked great and comfortable but they fit about a half size larger then my normal size of 9 1/2 M, so I had to return them today to exchange to a smaller pair of the same shoe. I will plan on updating the four star review to a 5-star review once the process is completed in a timely manner.
I really like the idea of sneaker sole dress shoes. I bought several pair of the $40 range of different vendors. They are just ok. Obvious thin material, they will last about six months. Any kicks and they will all tear and damage easily. I'm hard on my shoes. These are SOLID. Well built, obvious real leather. They feel great but better they don't show marks, nicks or wear at all. That's the difference when you pay for good materials. So buy and replace the cheapies often and always have them look crummy or buy a good pair of shoes like this, way better.
