Pricey but perfect
Great shoe, super comfortable right out of the box - my new favorite pair of shoes. Could walk in these all day long. Laces seem a little slippery and needed a double knot to stay tied, but maybe that's just me. A little more than I'm used to paying for shoes, but so far the extra cost seems worth it for extra comfort and clean finish.

Presents as a dress shoe but feels like sneaker = very, SUPER comfortable shoes!
I am a big fan of Cole Haan shoes in general so I had fairly high expectations from these shoes before they even arrived. I am very happy to say that not only did they meet them, they exceeded them by miles...wow!For starters, they are a nice, upscale looking design that looks great with just about anything - they go just as nicely with dress pants as they do with more casual looks like khakis or jeans. The oxford design is a classic, of course, but these take it to a slightly higher level in that they don't have harsh stitching or lines, so they look very sleek even close up.But these are definitely just about looks - these are incredibly comfortable to wear - I think these are possibly the most comfortable "dress" shoe I've owned (and I've got quite a few since I am one of those people who likes things perfectly coordinated LOL). If we did a blindfolded test and put these on, I would immediately think I'm wearing a running shoe - yes, they are THAT comfortable! Highly cushioned insole, firm but comfortable uppers, and not at all what a typical oxford feels like (Let's face it...oxfords are great but they are not the most comfortable shoe in the world). The leather is soft and moves WITH your foot not against it, too, which makes these a fantastic "all day" shoe. If you are a commuter and change into sneakers to walk to the office, dress shoes while there and then back to sneakers to leave or go somewhere after work...these might save you not just that time but the effort of having another pair of shoes in your bag each day. Yeah, they really are THAT comfortable!The leather on outside feels so nice and soft - it looks like a premium item or a shoe that could be an offering from a designer that is far more expensive than these are. That is a compliment of the highest order since Cole Haan is not cheap by any means but they tend to make footwear that is stylish and elevated but won't break the bank and they hit the bullseye with this one for sure. I didn't know that the leather was ethically sourced when ordering these but was pleasantly surprised to discover that when they arrived, so that made me like them even more.The whitewall bottom is all the rage these days and to be honest, I'm here for it as I do love the way that looks anyway. But in this case it's a function thing too as the bottoms are very nicely cushioned and the soles are extremely well made - with a minimal amount of tread that stops you from foraying into sneaker territory but still gives you that nice grip when you are walking in them.And finally, another thing that I have never liked about oxfords is the narrow toe box. This shoe does not have that problem and what a refreshing change that is. They aren't as pointy as a regular oxford so your toes don't feel squished in there at any time, even if you have been wearing them all day. How they were able to do this while still keeping the oxford style intact is a triumph, really...so kudos to their design team on this!If you are a quiet branding person, Cole Haan's got you on this too - there's no much that tells you who makes this shoe other than a subtle logo on the back and it's very nice and tastefully done.Overall, these are a great "all purpose" every day shoe - timeless design, goes with everything, SUPER comfortable, and priced very fairly considering how NICE they look and how incredibly well made they appear to be. These shoes are so good that they MAKE me want to wear them. These have converted a person who was really not a fan of oxfords into an enthusiast who is currently looking to order a pair in a different color as soon as I finish this review :)Cannot recommend these enough. I LOVE them and have no doubt that you will, too. A solid 5 stars in every way!

Nice but has big issue
These shoes present a pleasing aesthetic, with an attractive finish on the outer material. The soles are notably thick, providing a sensation akin to walking on a cloud. They offer a level of comfort that surpasses many of my athletic shoes. However, I must share some significant drawbacks that have prevented me from wearing them regularly. Firstly, the right heel causes considerable rubbing, resulting in a blister. Secondly, and more concerningly, the outer side of the right shoe exerts pressure on my foot, making it impossible to wear them for more than four hours, as it causes severe pain. I have attempted to remedy this by using shoe stretchers and even brought a second pair of shoes to work to alternate with, in an effort to break them in. Unfortunately, after a week of trying to wear them for a full work shift, I gave up trying to break these in. While the price is reasonable, these issues make it impossible for me to recommend them.
