I ordered these to have a pair of comfortable walking shoes that are more stylish than athletic shoes. These are the perfect solution: cute with skirts as well as pants, sporty but classy. Better than many similar styles because the white sole is not as thick and does not extend out from the sides of the shoe as much as others. Color is good in warm weather (better than black, not as dirt-prone as white.) I use orthotics, and there is plenty of room for them. Also, not too narrow in ball of foot, and has a roomy toe-box. Only possible criticism: these tend toward a stiff sole/shank rather than cushy. Sad that Cole Haan discontinued its deal with Nike, because in the past this shoe would have had an Air Nike sole and been REALLY perfect.
