Excellent Shoes!
Some people say that patent leather is only for evenings or holidays, but I say no way, every day is okay.Very cute shoes with a gentle shiny sheen, a rounded toe and a great heel height. Fit is true to size (size 7, medium width).Caveat: I originally bought these from Amazon, but instead of a Cole Haan box, they arrived in a plain brown box (that was too large for the shoes), and contained no stuffing, paper, stretchers, etc. A note was attached that said the original box had been damaged in shipping.I didn't like that I was paying $100 for a pair of shoes and wasn't getting the original manufacturer's box, so I ordered a second pair - and received another plain brown box with the same explanation.I called Cole Haan, and they had no clue what was going on, especially since the shoes were being sold by Amazon, not a third party seller.While on the Cole Haan website, I noticed that they were offering the shoes at a price which was more than 33% less than what Amazon was charging - and free shipping and a one-time first-purchase discount. The savings were so great I was able to get 2 pair for just slightly more than than the cost of one pair on Amazon - and I got the original Cole Haan boxes.This is not my typical experience on Amazon. I mostly find fair prices, good packaging and, of course, excellent delivery, return and customer service options. This was an outlier, but I think Amazon should either investigate the lack of original boxes or offer a better repackaging solution if the original boxes were actually damaged in shipping.
