5 stars for looks, 2 for comfort
Unfortunately, I had to return these. The look is right on trend, the color of the gold is muted so can go casual, or dressy, and easily can mix metals, they are all leather uppers and very well made; the price is a steal. For reference, I have worn Cole Haan shoes for decades but, lately, like everything else made these days, these were very uncomfortable. I have very narrow, bony, feet...no padding whatsoever so, while they were narrow, the straps were digging into my toes, and I could tell wearing them would be blisters in the making. The leather didn't appear to be the kind to soften and stretch, and I didn't want to take the chance. Even with strap cushions or moleskin, I could tell they would be too uncomfortable. It is too bad, as they really are a great shoe.
