Fit was a full size too small. Very good quality based on what I saw.
I really love these boots for the kids!. The removable liner allows for easy/quick drying. Their feet stay toasty warm. They hold up all winter (October -april). Perfect for Alaskan winters! Very durable! My son's rough on shoes so that says alot
I usually wear a kid 6 or 7. This boot runs small. It is very warm with a felt liner. Definitely size up if you want to wear socks. The shaft is flexible, but the foot area is too stiff. It seems like it would be hard for a kid to run around in. The quality seems lower than other Columbia products. The boot is not too heavy. I question the durability of the fabric.
These are great boots, very warm, waterproof, nice and snug so they aren't floppy off the foot, nice drawstring to secure the strap as well.
These are an outer boot with a felt like sock liner. The felt liner is removable. My son can not fit his foot inside the boot with the felt liner inside. You can take the felt liner out But then the hard plastic shell will hurt your child’s ankles. First I ordered a size 11 ( my child’s normal size). He could not even get the boot on with my help. So I ordered a 12 (a whole size up) and my child still could not put the boot on alone. With my help it still took 10 minutes to get one boot on. the boot has no tongue or laces to widen the opening up top - you are stuck forcing your foot inside. These don’t work well. My child has skinny ankles and narrow feet and was unable to put these boots on in 2 separate sizes. Horrible design. Do not buy these. They aren’t cheap either. No excuse for this bad design. My first grader is quite skilled ( he dresses himself, puts on and ties his own shoes, and Can do back flips on the trampoline) but he says these Columbia snow boots are impossible to put on alone. I agree. Don’t buy these boots unless you want to spend 20 minutes putting each boot on every morning. They are a horrible design.
I’ve ordered this brand for my kids before, they are great winter boots for New England winters. Warm and waterproof. Not sure if it was just this particular style or toddler sizing but they are very tight going on, I recommend sizing up at least one size. Otherwise a great boot.
