Fantastic Snow Boot!

For the short reviewers:Very Comfortable: normally wear 11, bought 11.5, fit perfectlyVery Warm and Dry: (see photos) in snow past the top of the boot, my feet never got wet or felt coldVery stylish: they look like you're wearing normal shoes/boots. not clunky or over designed snow bootsfor the peeps who want details:I bought these boots for a week long trip to Tahoe where we were expecting (and got) significant snow fall (11/6/22 - 11/13/22). we played in the snow every day. the first couple of days was the heaviest with constant snow fall while we were sledding and having snowball fights. you can see in the 2 pictures, I went from in the snow to under the snow. For the whole trip, my feet never felt cold (wore normal socks) nor did they ever get wet. in the submerged pic, my snow pants definitely protected from snow going over the top of the boot, but the rest of my feet under the snow had only the boots and they did their job well! when we got back to our room, loose snow came right off at the door and the boots never felt wet or soaked. my wife and son had a different style boot and they constantly tracked water into our room... I did not! These boot work very well in the snow! Didn't get to do any hiking on this trip so no info there (sorry) and it's only been one trip, so we'll have to see how they hold up over time. Ignore the haters and trolls who 1 star everything. These boots are great! (hope this helps)

Lightweight, comfortable and waterproof. What more could you ask for?

Another incredible boot from Columbia. My husband loves these boots. After narrowing down from five different options he is very glad he choose this Columbia Fairbanks mid boot. Very nice looking pair of walking boots that could be used not just on trails but in cities and streets too as they look great with a pair of jeans. The tread is rugged and handles wet leaves and roots no problem, with the waterproof outer keeps your feet dry all day. Definitely worth the purchase.

Worth every penny!

These shoes are awesome! My socks stay dry everytime, great traction and very comfortable for hiking boots. Been on a half a dozen trips with lots of use and no issues at all and still like new. This is the pair you want and worth the money. I tried saving a few bucks before and ordered a knock off brand pair with good reviews and the soles came apart on my second trip! Don’t make the same mistake I did. The Columbia product is the one!

Keep in’ it real!

These shoes are awesome! I use them everyday in construction because they are so comfortable and provide great traction while on a roof. Also, they are waterproof enough that I can work in wet weather and my feet stay dry. I’m a bigger guy at 230lbs and these shoes last me YEARS even in the tough conditions of a worksite. They stay comfortable and don’t fall apart like most other expensive work shoes. The only complaint I have about them would be the laces. I have to buy new laces after 3-4 months because the outer shielding layer separates and the inside is exposed making it very hard to tie them snuggly. Glad I found them, and I’ll keep on buying them. Give them a shot!

Walk for miles and miles

I buy the insulated boot version of this shoe once every year. I wear them throughout the winter in the Midwest where I put on around 10 miles of walking per day in various conditions and terrains. Once the weather goes sub zero, I swap out to heavily insulated hunting boots. With the experience I’ve had with the insulated boot version, I thought I’d give the mid shoe version a try. I was iffy at first because it didn’t feel very comfortable right off the bat. I chalk this up to the fact that I’m used to an insulated boot, and this is without insulation, which leads to a much different feel. With that said, I’m stubborn, and wanted to see if I could break the shoes in a bit before passing off too harsh of a judgement. I’m glad I did, because these are officially my spring and fall shoes. They’re very comfortable now, and even after throwing down around ten miles a day, my body feels very little fatigue, whereas you may really start to feel the work in a heavier shoe or boot.I would absolutely recommend this shoe, and will continue to buy it and its thicc boot brother.

TOO GOO TO BE TRUE

Usually when you buy shoes online they aren't always exactly what you hoped them to be. I read the reviews for these shoes and were skeptical but I must admit these shoes turned out to be one of the best online purchases I've ever made. I wear a size 12 and my foot is slightly wide, I ordered a size 12 and the fit is perfect. Not too tight or overly big. It fits like a sneaker and I walk at least two miles a day so I needed something flexible and light but durable enough to withstand Chicago weather. The weather proof material wicks off rain, sleet, and light snow easily. Not too mention they're easy to clean as well.I would recommend an actual boot if you're trying to walk through more than six inches of snow as these are ankle high shoes and depending on your pants your feet may end up getting wet. The only small negative about this shoe is on the bottom sole it has a Columbia logo piece that feels as if it's made of like a soft foam and if you drag your feet a lot when you walk your sole can wear down rather fast. But other than that I'd highly recommend this item.
