Great boots but a little stiff
These boots are high quality, well made, very sturdy boots that also look great. I really like 'em.The only slight negative is that after wearing them about 20 times over several months for yard work and general walking around, they are still quite stiff. So in the: Rugged <-------> Comfortable spectrum, looks like Columbia used denser materials to make these boots more on the rugged end of the spectrum, built to handle any rugged terrain. So these are not like running shoes. If you're buying these for a hiking / outdoors trip, I strongly advise wearing them several months before your trip to break them in.I paired these boots with Feel Life inserts which are half-inch thick, lots of cushion. Knowing I'd use thick inserts, I bought these boots size 9 (US). My actual shoe size is 8.5 (US). The half-size larger shoe fits my foot perfectly with the half-inch insert. I recommend this combination.Highly recommend these boots for serious outdoor work or play like hiking in rocky areas. If you plan to just do casual day hikes and yard work, I'd buy a different pair of boots that are more comfortable, half-size larger than your normal shoe size together with Feel Life inserts.Update: After walking I guess 5 miles or so general walking around (not hiking) these boots finally broke in, stiffness is gone, so they're much more comfortable, though the soles are very hard, so my feet are a little tired after wearing them 5+ hours.

A Bargain & Comfortable
Comfortable from the start, good for speed walking & good for winter with lugged sole. True to size, just slightly wide on me because I have a slightly narrow foot. Leaves room for wool socks. As far as waterproofing, I’ve worn them in the snow not in the rain & they were dry. Columbia waterproofing is not as good as GoreTex & doesn’t breathe as well, but works & costs much less. After a while I spray Columbia waterproof shoes with silicone spray & they stay very dry. These shoes are bargain.

Good Fit
Good fit and good hiking shoe. It’s very water tight which is sort of a problem because they do not breathe at all and your feet get really sweaty.

Excellent quality, water proof, amazing feet support
I am very pleased with these shoes. Due to my foot nerve pain, I am extremely picky with shoes. These shoes, I am very comfortable in them even after walking 3-4 miles. Amazingly water proof, but my feet don't get sweaty. Apparently these shoes are very breathable. Best walking/hiking shoes under $70!!

Great Waterproof Shoes!
I work as a summer camp director and hate when my socks get wet. There is always wet grass in the morning as well as random rain or puddles. These shoes have been fantastic. My socks are always dry. I've walked through very wet grass, puddles (even stood in), and light rain and there have been no issues. Heavy rain tends to keep the bottom of the socks relatively dry but there isn't anything that can be done for the top, nor was there an expectation.I also wore these for a few days at Disney World, in both rain and heat. The shoes are comfortable when walking around most of the day and standing in line.I highly recommend these shoes if you are looking for comfortable, waterproof shoes.

Runs small and narrow
Appears to be a quality product but runs short and narrow. I ordered 11.5 Wide, which is usually is a comfortable fit for me. Because of delays with orders (had to order twice - first shipment delayed, then lost), I’m going with something else.
