Pleasingly Surprised!

I purchased these post season and didn't get to try them in the snow.Living and working in the western NY snow belt I need something warm that don't make my feet sweat. Now that I've used them in the snow a few weeks, I'm in love. They're fairly light so not tiring to wear, stay warm the entire height if the boot. Lace up easy and cinch with little effort.I don't use the very top eyelets for added comfort.

Comfortable and warm

My sons loves these for the winter .He's a 7 yr old and I usually size up to make sure he has space to grow cause he grows like weeds. But they fit great. ! Also look amazing on his feet. I actually want a pair as well.

Seem to be great boots!

I just bought these, and I wanted to give my initial impressions. I have other Columbia winter boots. All the other ones I had to order up a full size to get a good fit. I did that with these as well based on previous experience with Columbia footwear. This boot appeared to be a half size too large. However, I would rather have too large than too small in winter boots. I am also somewhat stuck as Columbia does not do half sizes over a men's size 12. I ordered a size 13, and I imagine a size 12.5 would fit me perfect. The build quality seems very good with these boots. The insulation looks very substantial. I wore them around briefly. The boots were very comfortable, and there won't be a long break in period.I tested my boots by soaking them in a tub of water for several minutes. The insides were completely dry. I can verify they are waterproof.I will have to test these out this winter to see how warm they are. Despite that, I am very optimistic these will be warm. I will update this review at a later time as I get to wear them in a Wisconsin winter.Edit:I forgot to add in my initial review that these boots have a fairly substantial amount of room over the top of the foot. That provides enough extra room to layer socks. I also added a cheap ($12) Toasty Feet aerogel insole, and I still have room to layer socks. That insole is about 1/8" thick. Yes, there is a lot of room above the foot.

Tough Boot but A Little Narrow

My husband liked the boots but it was a little too narrow for him. If you fit I'd a little on the wide side, you might want to think about that when you buy this boot. We've had bugaboots before..They're great to keep your feet warm and dry! It's just the width didn't work this time.

Uncomfortable.

Heels feel stone bruised after walking and standing in them after 5 hours. All.day comfort would not be attainable without an insole swap. . I wear steel toe boots every day at work. My cheap brazo ST boots are twice as comfy.

Best winter boots

The 400g insulation is no joke. Stood outside in -40F weather and toes were warm while working through snowstorm
