Amazing for hot or cold weather! (My favorite shoe now)
I've worn these hiking in the summer. I've run them through puddles. I've worn them slogging through thigh-deep snow. The only way moisture is getting in is if you're the one producing it from sweating.They definitely feel best if you are wearing a boot-length sock, and a thicker winter sock adds nice cushion (even though they already feel very comfortable without extra support). Perfect fit for a normal size 6. I've had them on for hours in 90+ F weather and -7 F below weather for hours. I've even had snow cleats attached to them, and my feet are the same normal soreness you would expect from hiking five miles in deep snow in any other shoe.The only thing I say is they are a little heavy for a shoe, but they are a hiking boot, so it's expected and you get accustomed to it pretty fast; it's just funny when you put on running shoes and feel like you're going to spring off the ground from the lack of weight.10/10, would recommend!

Perfect shoe for “all the things”

Wow, where do I begin? I used to have hiking shoes, but I surrendered them to my sister. I rarely do any serious hiking, but I didn't want to continue using my running shoes, so I pursued an alternative. After reading the reviews, I decided these would be the best option for my future endeavors. Upon arrival, I wanted to first check the sizing. I always wear a size 6 and that's what I ordered. I unboxed these Columbias and put them on for the first time and my life changed forever.Let me be clear - I have yet to actually hike in these (will update, I promise). I can't describe my love for these shoes. I immediately contacted all of my trusted colleagues and shared my experience. But what the heck!!! Did you put something in the box? A strange love potion of sorts? I'm obsessed. They are comfortable, a perfect fit, match description 100% and love the color and style. I don't know what else y'all need to hear except that everyone should have these. I told my man I don't want to take them off ever and he says I can't wear them everywhere so now I'm single again. Better then expected!
These hiking shoes must be the new trend bc I’ve seen them on everywhere so of course I had to get a pair. I was surprised at the price compared to other brands so I was nervous about the fit and comfort level. I ordered these shoes in my regular size which is a 6 and they fit perfectly with my thick socks. Here are my thoughts:- I’m pretty small and short only 5’ and most hiking shoes look bulky on me. However these were cute and not heavy nor did it look bulky on a small frame- no break in time needed! I ordered these the week before a big Yellowstone trip and wore them on a 10 hour hike. It needed no break in time!- supportive through my trip and did not let me down during climbing and hiking. Gave me lots of cushion for my flat week- the toe are is a bit narrow which is not an issue for me because I have a narrow feet. But for someone’s other wide feet. It might be an issueThe reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars was because sand and dirt easily got into the shoe over the top flap even though I tightened all the way. So I felt sand under my sock inSide the shoe. It wasn’t the end of the world but shoe should be perfect without that issue.

Better than expected!
I was worried about these boots bc I had foot surgery, and now need to use custom orthotics. I saw that another reviewer’s orthotics fit, but I wasn’t sure that mine would. They do! In addition, the boots are so comfortable. I was expecting them to be very tight, but they fit extremely well. I wear size 6 regular, and the size 6 boots fit me perfectly.The boots do not feel any heavier than any of my other shoes and they feel like they have good ankle support. I am looking forward to trying them out on the trail. Extremely pleased with my purchase. If they hold up for a long time, I’ll be over the moon!!
