These are so comfortable. I was able to wear them immediately without feeling like i first needed to break them in . I wore them for a week while hiking Zion National Park and Bryce National park in Utah. So comfortable. Unfortunately, my new pup also liked these shoes, may need to order another pair. Plenty of support, no slipping, and a nice looking pair of hiking shoes.
These shoes have been a game changer with hikes. They actually are waterproof. They are very helpful with stability in uneven terrain. They are comfortable and fit well at my typical size. They are also cute as a bonus! Support helps keep my ankles and feet from hurting or twisting. I couldn't find them on the Columbia site and was so sad I would not be able to replace them but Amazon to the rescue. I have had my current pair for a little over two years and have done lots of hiking with them, in all seasons. They are just now starting to lose the inside cushion on the sides. They would be able to maybe even last another year and I will wear them until they get too worn out but re-ordered today to have a pair ready when needed.
I’ve been hunting for the perfect hiking shoes for awhile with key features such as waterproof, light-weight, comfort, and great traction, as I hike a lot with different terrains. After months of looking at different ones and trying on many, this turns out to be the best fit for me! It doesn’t require breaking in, so this was an instant comfort since day one! It’s also great for those looking to hike in rain forest or places with snow as it is waterproof (this was the most important feature for me because I want a shoe that fits like a sneakers and many hiking shoes that are waterproof are usually heavy or are high-tops). The shoe box also got just enough room for thick socks or for those with wide feet. I wish there were more colors but I’m very happy with my purchase.
I ordered my usual size 8.5 and the fit is good. There isn’t much arch support so I added an orthotic, which made the fit more comfortable for me. The sole has good traction in mud, loose rock and snow. My first trek was almost 4 miles; my feet stayed dry and I had no discomfort.
These are an absolute dream! I was looking for a waterproof shoe to take on my vacation to Scotland, as I knew it would be rainy and wet the entire time. They couldn't have been more perfect. They were indeed waterproof and to top it off they were comfortable. I walked all over Scotland for 10 days in a row with these and my feet never hurt. I've never found a shoe that I can say that about. Definitely worth getting.
WOW!!! Broke my right ankle (plate and 7 screws) 5 years ago and have worn New Balance for decades but that old injury still hurt during longer walks and sightseeing vacations. My feet always felt big, clunky, heavy, hot and my right ankle would start hurting (my left ankle was fine). I tried inserts and they would only help somewhat. Waited a long time before finally trying these Columbia shoes and they are truly a game changer! They are breathable so my feet feel light, agile, bouncy and I can walk much longer distances without pain/discomfort! Wish I bought them years ago! Plan on buying another pair in the near future in the other color!
I really like how they fit and they're really nice shoes. However they are not comfortable to wear for long periods! The reviews were very mixed so I thought I would risk it since my feet aren't very picky. I work in a manufacturing plant and am on a concrete floor for 10+ hours a day. One of other the reviews said they work a similar job being on concrete all day long as well and really liked these shoes. That's what finally sold me. However after a week of wearing them my feet were horribly sore! After work I could hardly walk without limping and hobbling around. I thought it was just being on a hard floor for so many hours so I tried them out on an hour walk/hike. Same thing, my feet were so sore I could hardly walk afterwards. I walk this area regularly and wear normal sneakers with no food pain so I know it's these columbia shoes.I really wanted to like them but unfortunately can't wear them. I'm sure it's just the insoles so I'll try them again once I get better ones. I'm honestly pretty disappointed because of how expensive they are and columbia supposing to be a great brand.I would not recommend these. You can find much more comfortable shoes for a much much cheaper price!
