Wonderfully warm yet so light
These boots are perfectly warm, while wearing only thin socks. They are also incredibly light. They do not feel at all bulky or clunky. They do run small. Normally I wear a 7 1/2. Ordered an 8 and they are slightly snug, especially in the ankle area. I think they will stretch to be perfect as I wear them more. Look exactly like picture. Great quality. The only reason they don't get a 5 is that I am not a huge fan of the fur lining up top. Looks funny under jeans so I can't wear them quite as universally as I want.

Really great boots!
I live in Michigan and needed good snow boots that are warm; these boots are fantastic at keeping the snow out (they're waterproof) and they always keep my toes warm! They're super cute too! The only bad thing is they're really tight; I normally wear a size 8 but bought a size 9 - a 9 1/2 wouldn't have been a bad idea!UPDATE: 7 years later, these boots are awesome. I think a half size up would've been a good idea, but they are very comfortable and have lasted this whole time with no issues. I only wish I had picked a different color since I don't wear much brown anymore.

What happened with Columbia's quality?
I have quite a few Columbia produtcts, but I was quite disappointed with these boots.1) size run smalls - I ordered half a size larger than what I usually wear, but could hardly put the boot on, it was very tigth2) boots are quite stiff and feel uncomfortable3) I was hoping for warm insulation for cold winters (I live in Minnesota), but these boots would certainly not be enough for 0FI ended up returning the boots and purchasing a different brand (thank you Amazon for no hassle returns)

Warm and comfy
Nice snow boots. I bought them because I had a cheap pair that were very old and started to leak. These boots are made very well and are soft and pretty comfortable inside. I only gave it a 4 because the rubber design on the bottom doesn't allow much for "break-in" like a pair of work boots. I have a slight problem with my arches, so I need a little bit of give in that area, but they are so warm and great in the snow.

Great ,comfy, well fitting, and warm
Warm, easy to slip on, very comfortable. I have owned many winter wear items from Columbia, but these are the first pair of footwear. Ordering shoes or boots online is always a bit unsettling for me. I've never managed to order a pair of women's dress shoes successfully so I gave up trying. Flip flops and tennis shoes seem to be satisfactory items to order. Tennis shoes are always reliable fits as I always wear the same size and style, just varying colors occasionally.I wondered about boots, but decided to try because they do not need to fit as perfectly. I am so happy with these Columbia boots. They look very nice...not at all dress boots, but for casual wear and to and from work they are ideal. They keep my toes cozy warm when outside for longer times. Columbia seems to be a high quality company in all types of wear.

Warm and fine for dry cold weather
I purchased these boots to wear on my one-mile walking commute to work, so I was looking for something that would a: keep my feet warm, b: keep my feet dry, c: keep my feet on the ground (rather than my tookis), and d: be comfortable. They do about 2 out of 4 really well (my feet are always warm and dry). I find the fit to be just fine lengthwise, but very snug around the arch of my foot--so much so that they are uncomfortable after wearing them for more than a couple of hours, and it is difficult to fit one's pant legs into them to keep the pant legs dry. As for thick socks? Forget it. They are fine in rainy conditions, but get more than about 4 inches of snow, and these boots are overwhelmed: the tread on the bottom is nowhere near to being deeply grooved enough to keep my feet steady when slogging through uneven snow and ice--I slipped often. Also, these are inappropriate for deep snow, as drifts often reach over the top of the boot. I don't remember what I paid for them, but it wasn't enough to make me feel like I wasted my money. However, I would not purchase them again, and will likely find a way to purchase something a little more expensive and more suited to hefty winter weather.

I'm giving this a 2 star because these shoes are NOT MADE IN THE USA as advertised. I even asked this as a question, and someone said yes, a few days later someone answers no. The shoes are beautiful, feel very warm, not stiff on the leg at all. I ordered a size up, rather than a half size up, I would recommend a half size up unless you want to wear extra thick socks.
