Very attractive shoe; not unnecessarily bulky. Nubby soles that surprisingly make me feel like I’m wearing low profile cleats. The shoe has virtually no arch support (see pics, including the thin, supple footbed insert). I experimented with a variety of arch support inserts that could also increase forefoot cushioning and was able to remedy the situation. Size seems to be a traditional sz 5. Overall style and quality are good so far, but have only worn them during the past 2 weeks since receiving.
These are a good solid sturdy sneaker. I have no complaints. They run a slight bit small. I used to wear an 81/2 in sneakers but it seems all sneakers of late are running small including these. The 9 fits. I wish these companies would get more standardized on shoe sizing. I wear an 8 in one brand sandals and 81/2 in hiking boots and a 9 in sneakers?!? When in doubt order both sizes with prime and return the one that doesn’t fit. 🤷♀️
I specifically purchased these shoes because I have narrow feet. It seems there are many shoes out there for wide width but not too much for narrow feet. I have worn them out on the hiking trail and they really worked well. I had great traction on hills and gravel.
Definitely NOT a waterproof. First time I wore them in wet grass my feet were soaking wet. Disappointed since I wanted waterproof for walking in wet grass in the mornings. They run very small—had to order up half a size. Pretty comfortable but negligible arch support.
As soon as I saw these in person I knew they were exactly what I’ve been searching for: a hiking/walking shoe that was good-looking enough (for sightseeing in Europe) , comfortable, and not too clunky (as most hiking shoes tend to be) These are them! Very streamlined, low profile soles…a bit cushy-thick around the collar but nothing dramatic. After reading reviews I decided on sizing up a half size; I have medium width feet but like room for toes and occasional thick socks. These give me just enough room that I probably could have stayed with my size, but knowing that if I’m walking a lot with hiking socks, I’ll be glad for the extra toe space. They’re so understated pretty! Perfect hybrid of sneaker and casual-sporty. 🩷
I wear a 7.5 shoe and went up to a 8.5 because the reviews said these are very narrow and I have wide feet. I probably could have gone up to an 8. I will be using them for hiking on vacation and needed something to keep my feet dry. When I am wearing thick socks and tighten them they work fine.
