Great Buy!

Super comfy & light! Did not need time to break them in (especially since I got them a half size bigger). I wore them for a 4 day trip and they were super durable, so far! I also love their look.. they don’t have the typical hiking boot appearance, which I was never a fan of.

Great boots that don't scream "hiking boots"

These boots are great for hiking or wearing in low snow. They are comfortable to wear, although I should note they have very large padding around the ankle. I'm guessing this is support for hiking to make sure you don't twist your ankle if you step wrong. It's not at all uncomfortable, but just something to be aware of if you are or are not looking for that style. The look of these boots is perfect for what I wanted as well. It doesn't scream "hiking boot," and the black goes well with a lot of things. The material feels like nice quality, and they have held up really well so far. The soles have a good tread with good grip to easily navigate mud or snow. And they are super waterproofed. In fact, the smell of the waterproofing is pretty strong coming out of the box, so you'll want to air them out for a day or two, but they work well in lots of different weather conditions because of the coating, so I'll take it.

Tough, Stylish, and Trail-Ready Waterproof Boots for All-Day Comfort

The Columbia Women’s Burnsider Waterproof Hiking Boot delivers the kind of comfort and durability that serious hikers expect, but with a touch of everyday style. Right out of the box, the boots feel well-built — sturdy leather and textile uppers combined with Columbia’s reliable waterproofing keep your feet dry even through puddles, light rain, and damp trails. The Black/Wet Sand color combination looks sharp and versatile, pairing well with jeans or hiking gear. When it comes to comfort, these boots stand out. The cushioning inside is thick and supportive without feeling bulky, and the midsole offers excellent shock absorption for long treks. The traction is impressive, gripping well on rocks, gravel, and uneven ground. Despite being rugged, they aren’t overly heavy, so you can wear them for hours without fatigue. The ankle support is solid but flexible, allowing for good mobility on steep inclines.Sizing is true to fit — there’s enough room for hiking socks, yet they still feel snug where they need to. They do take a short break-in period (maybe a day or two of light wear), but once broken in, they’re among the most comfortable hiking boots in this price range. They also transition well for casual wear, making them a great dual-purpose boot.Worth it? Absolutely. These are dependable, stylish, and built to last — an excellent value for hikers or anyone who needs a waterproof, comfortable boot for outdoor use.Pros:100% waterproof and weather-resistantStrong traction on wet and uneven terrainTrue to size with comfortable cushioningDurable stitching and supportive ankle designAttractive Black/Wet Sand color looks great for casual wear tooCons:Slight break-in period neededCan feel warm in hot summer weather

Fits great on wide feet

I have wide feet, and am always concerned with the fit of a shoe. These feel great on the feet and have some nice ankle support. I haven't been able to break them in on a good hike yet (that's coming shortly), but they walked around my wet yard pretty well without any issues, and they feel pretty skid proof. I didn't really get them for looks, but they do look pretty nice on...I look like I've hiked before, even though I clearly have not. They are pretty comfortable to wear, if a bit heavy for most of my outdoor activities, but I do have a need for a good hiking boot a few times a year, and these fit the bill well.
